GOT THE POWERLOADER LAST NIGHT!!!!!

amazing!! it is HUGE!!!!!

still need to play around with it to get the best pose - it's hard to find a good position where ripley's hands can grab the PLs arms.

im sure you are being but be extra careful with ripleys wrist. it is a weak spot on this fig. i snapped mine a couple days ago. and i looked at the broken one & the other. i see it as a design flaw. very minimal amount of plastic attaches to the ball joint. she broke as i was trying to get her adjusted just right. :slap

That's pretty much my only issues with Hot Toys figures; The bodies are great, but from my own experience, there's is the most fragile and flawed wrist joint/pin out of the big 3. I've had 2 figures have the wrist pins break off on, it's no fun. I'll agree with comments from the past that it's the better looking joint of the big 3, but I'd rather have it be slightly odd looking to feel safer that it's not going to break with great ease.

You guys may want to remove her hands from their PL grips before reposing the PL arms to solve this.

yea i was kind of taken back when i saw just how little of plastic actually touched. btw.......does anyone know where a replacement wrist joint could be found?

Where'd you order your PL from? You should be able to get a replacement through them. My Rambo 3 pin broke and Toys2 contacted HT and got me a replacement, I think Sideshow can do the same if you got your PL through them.

yea, i already found that lesson out the hard way. :monkey2 i posted a warning in the picture thread about it.

Where did the piece break off, did it leave the pin in her arm or the gloved hand?

yea the pin broke off the ball joint where there is a gap to allow it to roll & stuck in her hand, then i fished the pin out & reglued it but had to offset it a tad to get the full surface to stick. so now its a lil' wonky looking but at least its on there. for how long, who knows? it would break again if the wind blew on it. so im not really messing with it much.

Ahh, I asked because when mine pins broke, the ball broke off at the arm side and it was a ***** to get the pin out of there, but if you could get yours out, you could just get any old hand with the same pin setup off eBay and swap it. The way the gloves are, the skin tone could be a little off and you'd never see it.

yea im not too worried about it, its not the end of the world or anything but at the prices of these things i do wish they were a little more durable. but saying that i do know the limitations of this particular figure now. :D it would be nice if you could get a few extras for the just in case scenarios that our figs seem to go thru every now and again.

OMG -- Power Loader just arrived!

:chew

The box is HUGE! My silver pistons didn't stick so bad -- I was able to slide them by hand. Gotta try my lights to see if there are any problems... then it's build time!

CONGRATS BRO! YOUR GRAIL HAS BEEN REALIZED.

Maybe that long, shaky trek from Texas loosened the pistons up.

Still waiting here... :monkey2

Make sure to let it run a few minutes. Mine worked fine for the less than a minute I fired it up out of the box to see if it was ok before putting it together, it wasn't until I had it assembled and set for photos that I found out it was busted, I turned the lights on to start shooting and within like 30 second, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, stuck and grinding.

Mine didn't come with batteries. Thing's a lot bigger than I thought. So far, knock on wood, the lights work fine. Still got to get Ripley together.

Parting the legs is a little stiff on mine. And the flametorch thing wants to fall out on the top plug in. Everything else works great.

I think I had the most fun with the hoses. They do tend to octopus all over the place. Might add some bits of electrical tape to bunch them better.

All in all -- AMAZING!!!
