The engineer requires a completely new body and would be around the price of a Jake Sully. They're having trouble moving Jake and that's the most popular movie of all time.

Perhaps the extreme lag from premier to actual product release killed that one?

Hot Toys needs to deliver David one in the spacesuit and another in his green uniform that he is pictured while examing the urn and the content inside. They should include the urn that can open and have the goo inside. Also, an Engineer, protoxeno or protoqueen, Shaw, Vickers, and Janek are musts! I cannot wait I hope they make them and release them by fall and not drag it out

Ridley lost his way big time here, but he did leave a mile-wide opening for a sequel.
He didn't do any of this. His original concept was rewritten and divided into dilogy for 20thCF by two hired morons.

The navigating Engineer kicked alot of ____ in the pitifully short amount of time he was allowed on screen.
He was the best part of the movie hands down!

That explains everything!

404: Newb Opinion Not Found to be Meaningful :D

You should post this in the movie section thread.

You're right, but I have a solution:

Engineer needs a figure ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The engineer requires a completely new body and would be around the price of a Jake Sully. They're having trouble moving Jake and that's the most popular movie of all time.

The Engineer body could also be used to make figures in the Resident Evil line like Nemesis and Mr. X. It'd probably be just about perfect. There are a lot of hardcore fans of that game series that would buy those, Nemesis especially, in a heartbeat.

Jake Sully body can only really be used to make more male Navi.

Just saw the movie today! Wow. I think it fits in perfectly with the Alien Series. It raises more questions and I'm ok with that.

On to HT figures I would buy:

1. David: space suit with alien vase and earth hologram!

2. Vickers: Space suit with flame thrower.

3. Engineer: with helmet and
protoxeno

Additional features:

I hope one of the figures gets packaged with the little cobra like alien thing.

I want zombie Fifield with a Hammerpede.

Engineer could come with a decent ammount of accessories. Hammerpede, PX, urn/ampules with the ____, etc, etc...

Yes to all the above. Pack the Engineer out with the P/X and afew more accessories.

I don't know why they simply reiterated that they had the license rather then giving us a sneak peak?

:lecture what i might use it for

Nah. They could at least make an Engineer in the Space Jockey suit with removable helmet. That certainly wouldn't be much more difficult than the many Alien figures they've done.

The Jake Sully figure posed its own challenges. It's a 1:6 replica of a 9 foot tall blue cartoon monkey-cat with full articulation and very goofy proportions. I think Engineer/Space Jockey would be infinitely easier for them, again especially given their years of experience making 14+" Alien figures. And it'll sell better than Sully too, because, well... it's just cooler. :lecture
