I've scoured the fabric mongers in town all day looking for the perfect sheet material to mail my tailor. Unfortunately, I was never fully satisfied. I'm taking off work next week for a trip to the paris garment district so that this can be rectified.

I need one r2 with sheet, one without, and one posed with bb8 iconically pulling the sheet off.

I don't think there is any doubt that they will eventually make an OT version. But I don't think it will be as soon as some think. I bet it will be 3 years before you have it in your hands.

Kind of an apples and oranges comparison, because Vader is the crown collectible jewel in Star Wars. R2 is nice, but his popularity among collectors is a fraction of that for Vader. Just look at the number of posts in this thread versus the collective number of posts in the Vader threads. < 1,000 here, over 15,000 posts in the first three Vader threads I run across.

I don't think there is any doubt that they will eventually make an OT version. But I don't think it will be as soon as some think. I bet it will be 3 years before you have it in your hands.

I'm of the same mindset. I think others will happen, but when? Took them forever to even give us the first R2. And that's one of the main reasons I'm buying this guy. Of course, Force Awakens isn't an ideal choice for me. I'll own no other figures from this movie, or any of the nu Star Wars movies most likely.

Like displaying a Norm Macdonald figure from the 40th anniversary of SNL instead of the early to mid nineties. The only solos I want on my display are ones that were in the original films. I'll keep buying custom sculpts to replace those terrible stock ones though.

I was convinced I would wind up with the Tamashii, I like the clean finish -- but that review has seriously swayed me. May get this one to display with Bespin Luke.

It would be another story if if I didn't have the deluxe SSC version, but this doesn't bring a lot to the table other than the dirty die cast.

There is something about Solo and Indy that was never meant to be a crotchety old man.

The servicing of our love of brands has made it a reality though, and it's not like it isn't interesting in some ways.

That being said, no crotchety HF - and relying more heavily on the highly questionable gravitas of Rey and Finn (without HF to play off of) - is going to be a massive test for TLJ... MH or no MH.

Hey, maybe that's where the Porgs come in.
