That looks absolutely amazing, gorgeous, the best.... Oh man I can't say enough.
This could be one of the Hot Toys best made figures if it comes out the way the proto looks
Just the damage, the likeness, the cobra assault gun.....THE BABY FOOD!!!!

I wish it came with a BD helmet. Maybe not a alternative head but a piece like the Exclusive Vader head with Luke Skywalker. Something you could display next to him. And I hate the ****ing base. Figure looks great but the accessories feel below par. Give us a diorama base like the BD T-800 please. Agreed lets just hope the production piece is outstanding!

Thing is with Robocop what base is really iconic of the movie....
For this figure it could be the water, but he was in the water
I just can't think of a unique floor Robocop was on

Seriously though, we don't need'em - they're 50/50; they can add display value, but sometimes they're just plain ugly.. or useless if you have limited space.

Basic black never fails.

I always found the 'diorama' ones that came with Predators and the Endoskeletons completely useless. They badly limited how you could pose the figure because of the placement of rocks and skulls and so on. Mind you the Robocop bases as they are won't have that particular problem.

Agreed with the Predator bases, but I do like the DX 13 and BD T1 T800 base. I was just not a fan of the DX 10 base which BD will be features with.

I don't mind the stands for this Robocop and the regular. I uses to prefer the classic black stands with movie logo too, but Hot Toys has been so inconsistent with them that I've given up.

My favorite stands are the square DX ones like the DX 02, DX 09, DX 11, DX 13 and MMS 238 Terminator. They're the classiest of the sculpted bases.

The worst are those huge triangular bases like the one with Thor, Evil Superman, Bank Robber Joker, etc.

Yeah, the square DX bases with the LEDs are fine, it's more the environment based ones or the recycled crap they pull on us.

I'd be fine with a basic black base. But the OCP logo isn't too bad as their fancier bases go.

My concern (and it's a SUPER minor one), is the crotch cradle. Yes, it's less visually obtrusive than the old waist-grabber, but figures generally tend to be a little top-heavy and if this guy is die cast, he'll probably be even more so. I have trouble keeping regular figures seated in their crotch-cradles without pivoting over. I'm a little nervous that with this guy being heavier, when he pivots over, he could be scuffed or even damaged.

But like I said ... MINOR. (I'm really just looking for things to complain about now!)

I on the other hand far prefer crotch grabbers to waist pinchers. I find the latter really limits posing and even pulls the figure off its feet sometimes.

I don't like the waist pinchers either. But they are more stable. Hopefully these Robos will be solid enough that they won't need any kind of support.

The crotch grabbers are fine though, unless you live in an earthquake prone zone.

I'm surprised Hot Toys, with their love of magnets, never implemented a magnet base so the collector would never have to worry about a crotch or waist holder.

I think when Diecast Robocop is released I might start hunting for the head piece (not buying the figure). As I would like to have it displayed next to the unmasked version as I think it will make a greater impact!!
