I'm really thinking we won't see these until:

A) Enterbay releases images of their 1/4 Robo

B) Hype/excitement/trailer build towards the Robocop revamp movie in 2013

Either way, it should be within the year. :wink1:

Do you guys think they will also re-release an ED-209 with there new and updated production technology.

They have no problem pissing off the secondary market sellers or those who bought the original versions plus ED-209 is essentially 'The Villain' in Robocop-toy land so I'd say very possibly.

no Cain. :[

they could re-do ED 209, release him from robocop 3.
not from that sweded movie crap.

Personally, I think the original ED is still absolutely brilliant. The paint job could have probably been more accurate (not necessarily better), and I know people had issues with the dome, but overall it was just pure class. I look forward to picking up Cain (even though I disliked Robo 2), and the new Robo whenever, IF-ever they come out! I just hope Hot Toys doesn't shoot their whole load on Avengers and Dark Knight.

Yip, Ed is awesome

Cheers man. I hate Robo3 but I love the backpack design so it's a keeper!

Cool display but I would take Robo 3 out the display. Just one Robo please.

Agreed... to me there is only Robocop. The "sequels" do no exist IMO :lecture

BTW, just realized I never took a new shot after I added a Desert Eagle for D!ck Jones... I'll need to remedy that :lol

Whats that other Robocop to the front? Looks better than the HT one.

Cheers a-dev. It's an old vinyl model kit made by Horizon. Proportionally it's a perfect sculpt right down to Weller's likeness. Quite proud of the paint job I did too! :)

I feel like I've asked you that before actually. Yeah it looks excellent. The proportions as you say are better than the HT and indeed, looks like you gave it a quality paintjob.

Since HT can't give us any kind of update, can you please share some more pics of your Horizon kit? :duff
Paintjob looks great from this pic, even with the fact that picture itself is pretty blurred.
Funny thing, but that old Horizon kit & NECA 1/4 scale figure are the most accurate RoboCops on the market at the moment.
I really hope that situation will change with upcoming Robos from HT & Enterbay (and, dare I dream, from Fred Barton). So much years & so few grails :(

I had the Horizon kit a long time ago. I was like 10 when I got it so my brother painted it for me and did a really great job.. sadly a friend thought he could touch up the paint job and totally messed it up. Eventually I think he ended up in the trash :monkey2

And even though it may look more accurate, comparing a largely static piece to one as articulated as the HT version isn't a very fair one. HT (IMO) struck a good balance between aesthetics and articulation, but I'm sure if they make a new one it will be even better.

The thing about Robocop is theres really no need to compromise much, if any, of the aesthetics for the articulation. And I don't see how there would have been back when they made their first Robos. So the fact that their old Robo-figures are proportionally innaccurate really has no excuse IMO.

Sure man...but more crappy blurry phone pics I'm affraid. They don't really give the colour scheme justice as I mixed a combination of silver and purple highlights to try and mimic the on screen look.
As for articulation, there's movement in the head, shoulders, forearms, waste and upper legs.
The real winner though is the accuracy in sculpt. I love it.

As for Hot Toys, like a-dev says there's no reason why they can't nail the sculpt and include the articulation. It's not as if he was blessed with Yoga style flexibility in the first place...
