Yeah, the disguise prototype doesn't do it for me. Both outfits look excellently tailored and executed but the original sculpt for the regular Jyn was the one that worked for me.

Just rewatched Rogue One last night trying to decide if I would purchase K-2 as a standalone figure and was really checking out Jyn and Cassian's costume adjustments throughout the movie. Cassian would need a deluxe and an extra deluxe to cover all of his different outfits.

I also still can't wrap my head around how when they knew the shield was down (since they had sent the files) they didn't think or entertain that finding a ship to leave Scarif was an option.

You underestimate their power ... I thought she signed on for a two movie deal.

She did. That's why people were thinking that there had to be more coming with Jyn, that was before the rewrites/reshoots.

They're using up her contract on those worthless 3 minute cartoons.

Somebody posted a pic they took of the Imperial Disguise version with a really bright flash that washed out all the paint and you could really see how good a likeness it was underneath. IMO anyway.

You mean why didn't Jyn just drag Cassian's wounded *** to a shuttle like Luke did at the end of ROTJ? ;) On the blu-ray Felicity said that part of Jyn's subtext was that she felt indirectly responsible for Jedha being wiped out because with her mother gone Jyn's existence was the one thing that forced her father to yield to Krennic's demands to help build the Death Star. So I don't think that she wanted to survive or felt worthy to survive after the plans were transmitted. She did what she could to follow through with her father's revenge and then that elevator ride down to the beach was kind of her "Uncle Bob" moment, final restitution for those that the DS had already annihilated.

Or you could say that Jyn and Cassian saw their escape as being a lost cause at that point so they decided to head out to the beach to savor their victory for a few short moments a la Jed/Matty at the end of Red Dawn or McReady/Childs at the end of The Thing.

I saw it at Celebration and it looked great, way better than the prototype photos.

The description says "newly painted headsculpt" so they're saying it's the same as the Deluxe. I think what happened is that they simply tweaked the Deluxe HS *prior* to previewing the Imperial Disguise version and when everyone saw the new sculpt they assumed that it'd be different for each figure. But the Deluxe head was always intended to be included with both figures they just tweaked it after Deluxe went up for preorder.

Anyway overall the figure looks great I just wish they painted her hair the proper brunette color. And since the helmet fits over her hair an option to display it with visor up would have been nice. Keeping my flex order and looking forward to finally owning a Jyn figure at home.

"newly painted headsculpt" means the eyes are shifted slightly.

Also, it is "newly painted" relative to the other identical sculpt that was painted a while ago. :D

Looks pretty good but I'm glad I went with the deluxe version of the normal outfitted figure.

According to the movie she was apparently wearing her vest and everything under that disguise so THAT would have been a deluxe figure if HT allowed you to put all of her outfits on at once, lol.

Well this looks like its coveralls sorta so I can believe that she just put it on over her normal clothes. Must have gotten pretty warm though. :lol I just find the other figure a bit more interesting looks wise. This one reads a bit plain to me.
