I really like this design, but I'm not feeling the blue accents.

That's for sure. "Shore" is a pretty lame location designation and way too limited for a trooper designation.

I mean, what do these troopers say: "Sorry sir, we can't go into the water beyond our knees, that's Scubatrooper designation... and we can't leave the beach, that's another territorial designation. Sir."

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only title ever actually spoken out loud, at least in the original trilogy, Stormtrooper? I can't remember anyone ever actually saying Sandtrooper, Snowtrooper, Scout trooper. Maybe they're all just considered Stormtroopers in universe, but their armor fits their location or rank. We just come up with dumb names for our action figures to tell them apart.

Love this one! Really hoping that they do a two pack set with the blue guy, who I assume is some type of officer, and a regular one. Love the design of the helmet and armor. Its a nice blend of the OT look mixed with some clone inspiration from Ep. 3. Me being a sucker for troopers this is a definite buy.

Yeah I assume the blue is the ranking one, so I'll get that. It's a nice splash of color anyway amongst all the usual black and white.

I'm digging this trooper, although the brown corduroy pants are taking a bit of getting used to. I was sort of hoping for the half skirt version, it detracts away from the plain pants a bit.

I love the look of these guys. I agree with the name though, "shore trooper" is a little lame.
They're lightly armored like the Scout Trooper, I originally thought the two were some how related. I was thinking they were the Imperial equivalent to Force Recon or something similar.

Silly name, at least they aren't called Shallow Water Troopers.

Using this convention the guys on Endor should have been Forest & Brush Troopers.

Kind of feels like an unnecessary level of trooper specificity... I mean are they really fighting that many battles on the beaches that they need an entire designation? And really, wouldn't a Scout Trooper be just as effective on the beach?
