Hot Toys Rogue One Vader MMS388

Did someone managed to make the right Rogue one glove work with the light up lightsabre of ANH Vader? I'd like to mod it and I need some advice / guidance.

This is literally the best figure Hot Toys has put out to date. The only thing that MAYBE comes close is the T-800 BD version. Holy **** - the cape feels and looks so beautiful. The hands are amazing and articulation is perfect.

The ONLY thing I didn't like is the pegs in the different hands needing to be inserted back if they come out the socket. Need some pliers or something to do it and not squeeze too hard.

Yes, these types of figures could really benefit from having pegs in each glove. What a pain! One of the few things Sideshow manages to do correctly.

If I were Hot Toys trying to maximize profit I would release ESB first and differentiate it with the light up chest box, light up light sabre, and the ESB gloves which look different from what was offered as Rogue One. Then a year or two later release ROTJ and differentiate it further by adding the Anakin Helmet less head.

The points brought out are making sense to me. I can see either ESB or ROTJ Vader coming first, then the next one later. But Wor-Gar's idea sounds neat as well. Especially if the bases are different. But man that would probably make it hard for to decide if they both come with cool bases. Like ESB having a Bespin diorama platform base, and ROTJ being a Death Star II base.

And zackg_ your Vader is looking very nice! By the way I think I use that same case for my 6" figure accessories.

I just meant that specific outfit since I know it gets people's hackles up. Thought it was a scene specific outfit, but I've only seen the scene once or twice.

I think Howard hinted at prequel stuff in that interview he did where he mentioned two more DX figures.

Not really. He confirmed we'd get more Star Wars figures by the end of the year. He also confirmed 2 DX were confirmed but not what license they would be from.

But he did say that Anakin was an essential character and no collection would be complete without him. I think that constitutes hinting at a PT figure or at least leaving the possibility open.
