Yep, same here. Though it’d have to be a v3 ANH. ANH is my favorite iteration of Vader, so with only having one Vader in my collection, that’s the look I want displayed.

Personally, the only other Vader I'd ever consider to order would be the eventual RotJ 1/6 with Anakin's face underneath.

I have V1 ANH Vader and bought the Tarkin/Vader two pack to get V2 ANH Vader. I wasn't too impressed.
Besides the gloves, I still think V1 ANH Vader is the best overall Darth Vader we've seen.

The v1 has for the most part looked more ANH to me when given a cursory glance without going into detail.

Happy with mine V2 Vader, rewatched ROTJ yesterday notice ROTJ Vader basically just ANH glossy version with some minor details different, reveal scuplt which dont matter to me at all...

I will wait for ROTS Vader with operate table, medical droids and fresh burnt Hayden scuplt...more unique display on shelf.

What? ROTJ is much closer to ESB than ANH. Lots of variations between ANH and ROTJ beyond a gloss coat. Not just mask changes and tunic placement and chest box buttons and badges but also belt lights and glove patterns and chain hooks and on and on...

I love ROTS but realy dont care about that Vader version...the only reason Im getting him because it tells the backstory of the transformation of Anakin to Vader, and it will look good on shelf with those accessories (operating table and medical droids...)...something diffrenet than just a big menacing guy in a blacksuit with life support helmet swinging his red LS or pointing his fingers this, pulling his pant that, such boring poses....

Yeah I wasn't crazy about how overly weathered and scratched up they made the V2 helmet for some reason. The V1 looked a lot better in that regard.

Hail Lord Vader! My V1 ANH Vader is my favorite figure in my collection. Such a satisfying feeling every time I look at him, even more satisfying with him facing off against Luke.

I have ANH Vader v1, but modded by Jazz, and with RO gloves. Used to have RO, but easily sold it, and only kept his gloves for my ANH. I will get the ESB Vader and most likely will display it on a separate shelf with its nice base. ESB has its issues, but all Vader figures so far have issues.

As for "better" Vader to come along in the future, yes it could happen with ROTJ, but if you look at ANH & RO, and now with ESB, you might think it might not be the case.

As somone who doesn't own a HT Vader yet and (perhaps foolishly) decided to purchase HT Tarkin by himself (even though I could have gotten the two-pack for a good price at the time), this is the first time I hear of a difference in weathering between ANH V1 and V2. Is it just the helmets that were weathered differently? Does anyone own both or could provide a picture to illustrated the differences between the weathering on the helmets?

Having both, I still don't understand the love for the R1 cape over ANH v1 cape.

For me the stock ANH cape is too big and bulkly....the R1 version is better scaled to how it looks in ANH...

I went with a custom tunic & robes for my ANH Vader, as I hated the Hot Toys versions! It’s in ESB/ROTJ configuration (under the shoulder armour), but you get the idea...
