Assuming most here will do the water treatment, makes perfect sense to wash the cloak first anyway. That will allow you to get the wrinkles out and shape it how you like.

I also imagine many here will remove the "poseable wire" in the bottom hemline as I've only found those to be more trouble than they're worth. OK for the one or two "wind-swept" pictures you might take.

I haven't had a problem yet with staining, but from what it sounds like, people say that the stains can't be wiped off, like the figure skin is absorbing the dye from the robes. So I'd be worried about it spreading away from just the contact area. So basically who the **** knows lol, I'm washing the thing.

Please take a photo to show us how much excess dye comes out.

Based on what I've seen so far, it seems that the Emperor looks best when viewed from below. In the overhead shots, his eyebrows seem too thick and he gets more of that Ed Harris vibe again. Guess I'll have to display him on the top shelf (not that I wasn't planning that already anyway...).

Nice! Except I’ve always thought that particular pose looked a little goofy with the expression on the sculpt that they went with. If he’s going to be holding the saber, I always thought the “perhaps you refer to the imminent attack of your Rebel fleet” pose where he’s simply holding the hilt in one hand, would be perfect.

Avoid direct contact of the robe with the headsculpt and hands for long periods of time; otherwise, the color of the fabric may transfer onto the figure. WTF Hot Toys? Should I bathe the Emperor and wash his clothes? Maybe even use fabric softener... FFS. LOL

Right? It’s like what’s your suggestion then, that the Emperor have no clothes?

Sometimes it happens that way.

The Deluxe Fett has more weathering than the regular release.

They look ok there, but that's under some really bright lighting. Under normal light they'll probably appear much darker.

Funny thing, as I said before they changed the makeup several times, and his eye were not all that yellow for some scenes. Oddly enough the scene we all remember best is the one where he reveals the plot....and they lit him very special for that scene to bring out the eyes.....and they also screwed up, which created the infamous “slugs”
