Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

No cancel here. So excited for this figure. Im more excited for this then Batsy.

And its going to be here in a few weeks, knock wood.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

I can't believe the cancels, this is a great figure! The likeness is good, especially with the helmet on. How many people will be displaying him sans helmet? I mean, yeah, it could be better, and I would have preferred better, differently styled hair, but that's really not a big deal is it?

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Im on the side of likeness looks really good. Most definitely helmet on.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Yeah, well I can understand the cancellations. It is a lot of dough for a figure with sub-par headsculpt and few accessories. With that being said, this is potentially the most limited release by Hot Toys yet (after the 16 piece Avengers Mark VI). There is no indication it will be release any where else. As of now, for all we know this will only be sold a sideshow... you get it now or forever hold your peace.

My reasoning behind the purchase its solely based on the fact that I want to display all the caps together, showing the progression of the character. I passed on most of the Avengers so this was a sure thing.

It looks enough like Evans to please me and I can't wait to have it. :rock

Same here Josh! :hi5:

I reay think once doily pics hit, ppl will change their tune a bit.

Most of the time HT official pics look bad and it's not until in hand or Toy Hunter display pics hit that we see how good the figure really looks

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

It's obviously just a combination of things. No one here is complaining that $220 is too much to pay for a HT figure these days, but only if all elements are 100%. I'd certainly pick this one up, if it had a few more accessories, a better headsculpt, or some other type of alt head. However, for what it is, I don't see $220 here. Not when Avengers Cap will get you two heads and two shields for the same price. SDCC exclusive be damned.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Wouldn't it be crazy if this truly was a USA only release? I have my doubts but I think that would make this a hard to get item.

Actually, that is exactly how I feel.

No way your average, non-DX figure, with no extra headsculpts or special accessories is justified at that price; perfect likeness or not.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Apparently Batman's extra headsculpt, 3 mouths, 2 guns, batarangs, grapplehook and complex suit is only worth $50 more than everything Cap has.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Can't believe only 2 weeks until this starts to ship! :panic:

Must be how the ppl who order Enterbay stuff feel :lol

:exactly::exactly: Why do people forget this?

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

If its a US only release, they wont have it on display.

I get that part. We've seen it time and time again how thrilled we are when we get in hand pics. Not sure why we forget that some of these figures don't take good pics.
