Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

I think so too. Would make it a true exclusive unlike Batman who really ended up being a regular release pretty much IMO. And while I could care less about exclusivity (is that a real word? Sounds right :lol), it just adds to the excitement of own this piece.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

The only problem is there is a flip side to it. If we, as in Americans, get an exclusive, then the Asian market could get one also. How bad would it suck if it was a dream figure and not be able to get one without paying through the nose for it.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

That's true too. As long as its not a Depp figure or Ra's I think I'll be alright in passing on it:lol

Great point. I figure this will see a wide release. The Avengers exclusive Iron Man MK VI was released in Asia first and it was a while before there was any info about a US release. Plus, I don't think Hot Toys wants to miss out on selling this to their non-US WWII collectors.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

As much as I like having figures go up in value, I really think its better for collectors to have a solid quantity on release. Keeps the playing field even and gives everyone a chance to get what they like. I don't think this hobby is about being in an elitist club, especially when, let's face it, this is a pretty nerdy hobby.

Greatly said!

I love being a nerd:yess:

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Unfortunately we wont see the typical unboxing video like we normall do unless a fellow freak or someone on YouTube does it.

It still puzzles me as to why HT didn't put up the pics on their FB page. Really makes me think that this is will only be available through SS and not at any of the other asian conventions.

Guess again boy....This will be available for distribution come Anicom this month in Hongkong....Probably a week after you can get yours...:hi5:

Yeah, unnecessary.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

"boy?"

really?

:dunno

Reminds me of the classic comeback.

"who you calling' boy? Would you call an alligator a lizard? Now GTFO:thwak"

Some people are just rude.

:clap

I would rather a maximum number of people get what they enjoy than make money off of scarcity (or worse feel superior about owning something).

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Looks pretty neat, but I'll pass. I was hoping for the "golden age" cap personally.

Wasn't there a rumor a while back that Jim Gordon was going to be a con exclusive? Maybe it was just speculation?

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

To all those who stated this'd sell out in hours or days...

There was rumor and it will be a con exclusive. Just not sure which con. But it's coming...

Well the rumour just became reality:

And that picture of the Rescue Cap, should silence any more of the absurd criticism of this figure's likeness. That is Chris Evans. If you disagree then prove it with a valid photo comparison, not just more complaints.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

the likeness is scarily amazing on those 3 hs.hot toys are always surprising me everyday.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version
