Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

looks like Chris to me :dunno

Eh, but not surprised by early reactions, same complaints we always here about every release. And then someone will make a custom sculpt that looks nothing like the actor and people will pay $300 for it :lol

I just don't like undersized shield and too dark jacket. Sculpt looks fantastic.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Yeah, at first I wasn't sure, but it's really just the hair that is throwing me off.

In a perfect world, this version would have had regular hair and been packed with the USO version. Then the second version would be battle damaged and have the helmet hair. Oh well, it's fun to think about.

Easy pass too expensive.HS looks pretty good.

The price is absurd.

Thats all that throws it off slightly, can someone photoshop the avengers version hair and eyebrows onto this an i think it would be 100 per cent bang on

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

What was wrong with old thread :dunno
Yeah, I agree that what we need on this forum are more threads devoted to the same topics where redundant, overlapping conversations can take place simultaneously. But the admin doesn't agree for some reason :dunno

Bought. I might even pick up a couple WWII guys to display him with.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

might get this

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

There used to be an accepted line of succession for threads. A teaser thread -> Official specs thread -> post-release photos thread. No complaints for a while.

Then the photo threads got the chop. I liked the idea of axing the photo threads, and I think it's acceptable to lock down the teaser threads once the official pics thread is started. I don't want to wade through dozens of pages of frequent garbage posts to find new pics if the mods or teaser thread creator are too lazy to place the new pics in the opening post.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

isnt $220 for this a bit expensive?

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Scarecrow was over $200 and came with less than this.

You are remembering things wrong, Scarecrow and Demon Bats were a 2-pack for $300. That's a damn good deal compared to this.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Bought.. will be my first HT Cap figure. Probably going to pass on the Avengers one.

Re: Hot Toys – SDCC 2012 Ex - Captain America TFA: Captain America Rescue Version

Where the hell is the outrage and trolling over the ridiculous $220 price tag for this crap?

I see people predicting Hot Toys' death because of the rising prices, but this thread is proof positive that for every one person who is priced out, there's two new collectors there to take that person's place.

Haha no kidding.

My only nit is the color of the jacket. It would be better if they would have made it the more Burnt Umber color. I would like to be cheaper but its not.

The thing i don't get with the price thing is if you feel its too much no problem but when people start calling other people crazy for paying it i don't get that but there we go
