1/6 Hot Toys - Star Wars Episode IV - 1/6th scale Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper Disguise

Do you already have stormtroopers? You could get Luke & Han in trooper disguise and display them as stormtroopers when the mood strikes. Four figures for the price of two.

That's what I'm thinking of doing rather than buying the Trooper two pack. I already have one single Trooper and getting the Luke and Han Troopers would be a decent way to get two more with the bonus of being able to display them as in disguise when I wanted to.

The only thing I sort of want from the two pack is the Mouse Droid.

I thought about using Luke/Han as replacement Stormtroopers too, however, and I could be wrong, but I'm thinking there's no way to display Luke with the helmet on.

I would assume that the Luke sculpt and the helmeted sculpt are just interchangeable. Guess we'll have to wait to find out for sure but I'd be surprised if the Trooper helmet can't go onto the body to make the figure look like a normal Storm Trooper.

Taking a closer look at it, I think you're right. The other Luke figure from ANH has removable hair. I'm assuming this is the same head sculpt, so if you removed the hair, it's likely that the helmet would fit on. It also says in the description "with interchangeable helmet. Otherwise, that's just poor wording.

I have thought about the possibility that the hair on the stormtrooper Luke is integrated on the head and that's the reason that in some pictures it looks different than the ANH hair. Of course as usual the different photos from various cameras can account for this anomaly too. But even in the HT presentation photos the hair looks quite different in places.

Or I'm just imagining the whole thing.

I'm pretty sure it'll just be pop off the Luke sculpt and pop on the Trooper helmet sculpt to interchange. I don't think Hot Toys normally does helmets that fit over sculpts.

That's why they say a picture is worth a thousand words. I'm sure we're getting pretty close to that with regards to, "Does the helmet fit on somehow?" Without a photo, their one line of interchangeable helmet is not very convincing.

Haha, I wouldn't be surprised. Kind of sucks though because I don't know whether to grab additional Stormtroopers now or if I'll be able to get Stormtrooper Han and Luke and use them as Stormtroopers if I feel like it.

Now that you say that, looking through the photo gallery I only see photos of the helmet in his right hand. Might not be left-hand compatible.

No, I see a right and left hand that are identical in grip, so the helmet is definitely 'interchangeable' between left and right hands.

Interchangeable with the head sculpt...? Haven't seen that yet.

Still convinced that the slot at the top inside the helmet is where the neck will attach to the helmet.

That can be, but the X hole (no pun intended) is not there on purpose. I mean, it's the same inside SSC reveal one.
