After looking at everyones pictures, for some reason my Luke looks like he fell a sleep in a tanning bed compared to everyone else's.

Probably something to do with this.

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone here has experienced this (or something similar to it): I need to return my HT Stormtrooper Luke because of paint blemishes on the chest armor and helmet. SS has already sent me the RMA and return shipping label this morning. Earlier tonight, I logged into my SS account to order a new one but the website wouldn't let me. It says the figure is limited to one per customer and that I already purchased one.

Is there a way around this or am I not allowed to purchase this figure from them anymore? are there any other online retailers I can get this from? BTS maybe?

Did you ask for an exchange of an entire figure or just the parts?

In my initial contact with them, I told them I was okay with just the parts being replaced. I preferred this actually. The next response I received from them was an email with the return shipping label and instructions on how to proceed. The last paragraph reads like this:
Remember, your item must be returned intact with all figures, accessories, original packaging, and outer shipment box included. Please be sure to repackage your collector's item carefully to insure safe arrival to our warehouse. Returned items that arrive with excessive damage due to improper packing may be assessed a damage product fee.

Once your returned item has been received into our warehouse, please allow two business days for us to process your refund.

I guess they're expecting me to return the whole figure and issue me a refund after they receive it. I was thinking "okay, then I guess I should just go ahead and order my replacement now." Then I find out the website won't let me.

I would call customer service to get that resolved. With exclusives you can only buy one, but I'd guess they can get you a replacement.

Yes. Call them and talk to a real person in customer service. They are really good at helping their customers.

So I want to use Luke as a regular trooper since I like his helmet more due to better details. Are the pegs the only difference between the taller and shorter Stormtrooper. They can't possibly make 2 different body armor for each figure.

They did...

The upper chest armor is slightly shorter on Luke. Bodies are different. Necks are different.
Yup, but he still makes a great regular Stormtooper if you want to display him that way. That's how I have him next to Vader as a Stormtrooper with a regular Stormtrooper on the other side. With Vader between them you don't really notice the different height or the differences in the armor.

Thanks guys.......I only wanted to change Luke to a Stormtrooper if or when I want to create a different scene lol. Plus from the looks of it Luke's armor looks more shinier or white than the regular HT Stormtrooper.

As I'm sure you've read already, Flosi, they're all supposed to be looking off to the side a bit, but I got two and neither seems perfect to me, with one being a bit more wonky than the other. I almost wonder if the problem is that the eye is sculpted to look straight ahead (as it's the same sculpt as the Tatooine Luke, which looks perfect in that regard) and so the light catches the center of the eye on the Luketrooper, which is not in line with the iris decals.

That said, it's a pretty minor issue for me and it's an awesome figure. I think no matter what you can still find several good angles even if it's not perfect. The internal helmet detail is fantastic and I like the proportions as the short trooper better than the one from the two-pack.

I guess this will be next on my "to buy" list.... Are all people getting wonky eyes on their Luke sculpts? I've seen a few that look that way.

Wonky?

Sweaty Trooper Luke is looking to the right.

Did some of them leave the factory Marty Feldman style?

I think it's just the way it looks overall... it's not Feldman-esque and super drastic. To my eye, no pun intended, they don't quite line up. His left eye is looking up more than his right.

Doesn't matter... I'll still buy it.

Thanks, TonTon and Kuat. :)

I love the standard release of Luke. I'd say it's HT best SW figure to date, and I have them all (OT) with just this one exception.... My trepidation probably comes more from not feeling this is a must have for me. That being said, I bought the Space Trooper so there's no excuse. Lol

Tatooine Luke is definitely the best "bang for your buck" HT Star Wars fig released so far. Tons of accessories and reasonably priced.

That copper hair, though... :wink1:
