They're going to be churning out a ton of Episode VII stuff and they only have so much production capacity. I feel like its going to be a while before we see another classic OT stormtrooper from Hot Toys.

I have the 2 pack. These along with Vader are my favorite figures, they just look great together in my display.

I expect something will change on the figure if HT releases them again as plain troopers - for example with Rogue One. It's much more likely we'll see re-releases of the TFA troopers if they're included in the next two movies, especially if they sell well.

Well you can almost always find some on ebay, but as you probably know the prices are tremendous.

Ya the 650$ price tag is a little high for my taste especially it retailed for 400$... I don't mind paying more than retail of course but not an arm and a leg with it

The SSC exclusive was just the gun rack right? I bought the regular 2 pack so I am thinking that is the only difference. Not really an issue for me, I don't really need the gun rack.

Yup, and it isn't much of a rack. I'll give them credit for making something that's actually usable though.

They didn't make enough of these sets for troop building. Glad i got one set, wish i picked up a second.

It was just fine for a non-US customer who didn't want to miss something important by not ordering directly from SSC, with he big shipping costs, and then paying all the taxes and customs.

If everyone had ordered before production, during initial PO, they would have made even more, but seeing as there are people who have many troopers, I think they made quite a lot of them in any case - more than many other figures likely when you factor in singles and doubles. I wanted two and ended up with three.

Yeah, depends if you have a foreign transaction fee on your credit card - they can be up to 3.5%. At today's rate they're US$396 plus international shipping, so they'd be a bit more for domestic U.S. than from Sideshow, though CC fees might add yet another $10-15.

But hey - they're in stock and Sideshow is not.
