Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

Maybe if the torse armor is fixed in place -- or very snug -- that would be a good way to be able to handle the trooper without having to rattle his armor around. Problem with SS is there's no easy way to pick up the trooper without undoing the positioning of the armor. Once you put him down you need to adjust armor. I'm hoping HT has solved this and made it so the armor lays more naturally -- straps, foam inserts, whatever.

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

You could have held out for more on eBay.

I'll display this two pack next to my SSC and Marmit troopers (already on different bodies), so I won't be unloading anything I already have. Keeping my fingers crossed that a 3-pack Sandtrooper set shows up and those will be displayed with my SSC and Marmits as well.

Possibly... I saw a bit of a range on opened ones. MISB, sure, but opened seemed to sell recently for between $200 and $250... I was looking for a quick sale.

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

Good price -- I'd take it on a $90 figure from 6 years ago. Smart move.

For me though, I'm keeping the SS one I have. Just for nostalgic reasons really. To go between my Marmit and my new HT. Sort of the breadth of 1/6th engineering over the last decade or so. Plus it gives me a small squad of Stormtroopers, but each is different.

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

It's not like these new Stormtroopers should have a body type with tons of posability.
The only "dynamic" posing they did in the OT was running down the hall after Han. Even the CGI added troopers were just standing there. On Endor they were just aiming and shooting.

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

I hate you hot toys. Time to rob a bank :/. Anyone want to buy my sideshow stormtrooper?

Best,

Robert

Bet HT use that really fine Velcro. It would work a treat.

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

I unloaded my SS one over weekend too. Need funds to to upgrade! Now if I can just sell the rest....

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

Hot Toys' velcro always sucks. I hope things are glued down and fixed in place.

I kept one of them... mostly so I at least have a Stormtrooper in my collection before the HT ones are released. At the very least I don't think I'll loose money on him, but likely won't get $200+ for him either by that time.

Get it on ebay now before the 'general collecting public' are aware of these.

It'd be the time to do it... I think most are aware, but some won't want to wait and there will be a few that might still pay pre-obsolete prices :lol

Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

Already on the bay ;)

155 euros ex shipping. Shipping is higher on ebay due to the extra costs though. Within europe shipping is about 20 euros.

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

Well we obviously all know about them here, but there is a much larger scope of collectors who aren't so 'up to date' with all the latest teases and news.

Now is the last chance to get these sold on ebay for a semi decent price.

I agree... once Sideshow has them up for order or HT posts the specs on Facebook it might be a different story. Although I was surprised I still sold my OG ED-209 for a great price even a few days after the figure went up for PO. Probably helped my dome was one of the least destroyed ones I'd seen :lol

Wasn't as lucky on the original Robocop, still made more than I paid for him, but at least $100 less than he'd been selling for the month before :lol

Re: Hot Toys Stormtrooper.

HA! This looks like a good time to like the older sideshow stormies. Bet The value drops like a rock once the HT ones are oiut :D

Armybuilders have patience, and we can grab them for retail or less i'll wager.
