Just had a flashback to when I was living in an apartment on the ground floor whenever "Small Soldiers" came out on DVD. I was sitting in my recliner watching the movie with the sliding door open and right when they attempted "psychological warfare" by cranking the Spice Girls over the speakers a group of people my age walked by and couldn't help but turn at the sudden sound. Of course they couldn't see the TV so it looked like I was just some dumbass sitting by myself blasting "If you wannabe my lover" for the world to hear.

LOL Nice, and who cares if they thought you were jamming out to Spice Girls. Not enough to get embarrassed over, but funny that it put you in that position. I simply wouldn't care. I loved Small Soldiers. Fun movie! I wished my toys could pull off some of the stuff that those toys did in the film, minus the trying to injure/kill the humans part. Because, yeah, that would suck. Like the joints on Baby Doll.

On my customs - I add what are best described as "mini knee pads" to the existing knee joint in the front. It basically extends the knees out a little further than the original. I usually use foam. So when the leg is not bent - you don't notice anything. But when bent - the foam pad decompresses and fills in to make the knee areas more realistic looking.

There's always a way.

Can you post pics? See, this is what I mean. We shouldn't just accept ____ like bad joints, because they are "action figures." They are engineered to look as authentic to the real thing as possible and for $170-300 that your HT figures go for today, they better look damn good. These aren't your Wal-Mart or Target action figures. In that regard, I wouldn't even bring it up.

I did this for my latest figure (Nostromo Kane) - but that's not the best example because of all the padding around the legs. I'll try to find some old pics of the Bruce Lee I did years ago. The foam knee worked really well for him because he was in tights.

But I'm a stickler for ugly joints. Always have been.

Make the joint a ball... just anything to make the knee look more filled-in when fully bent.

It's just the lighting in the photos...the pistol has the engraving on the sides of the slide.

Damn... I wasn't going to get this. . .but all the pics are starting to get to me.

the engraving on the sword in the movie was actually a mini story board of the whole movie right up to the lobotomy.

I'm totally curious how accurate Hot Toys went with the design on their 1/6 scale sword.
