Re: Hot Toys Superman

The Bean is really good I think, but Indy simply does not even look like the same guy's work - more I look at it the more off it looks

Agree entirely. If I'd seen that head on its own, without all the Indy paraphernalia I doubt I'd have recognised it as Harrison Ford.
It's a shame because the rest looks superb, right down to the detail in the Alden 405s, although they obviously need weathered down.

Absolutely, I think the same.

I have faith in HT,I mean when the Mark IV pics were released, they didn't even show any sort of Tony Stark sculpt and look how that turned out.Plus, they know they're going to have to market this fig like the devil himself with the $250 price tag they want.

If it's DX, I would say yes, maybe more. That's why I hope it turns out to be an MMS. Just because it's not a DX there is nothing to say it won't come with a ton of stuff, just look at the T-1000

Re: Hot Toys Superman

eh.... no DX has been $250. $189 - $199.

I never said any other DX has been $250?
I am talking about future pricing. If Indy is $249.99, you can bet Superman will be around the same price, especially if it comes with a Clark head and clothing plus a ton of other stuff, plus the DC licence will not come cheap. I very much doubt it will be under $200. Look at MJ BAD $200 for a Figure and not much else.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

I'm buying this beast no matter the cost

Me too. :(

And it's not because I'm a Hot Toys fanboy.

I'm not getting the HT Indy because it has too many problems. Plus I already have Sideshow's Indy.

On the other hand, I've been waiting years for one definitive Superman figure. If they even get close, this is a must buy.

Re: Hot Toys Superman

When I was a little kid (early 1970's) and before Star Wars came along I was a fan of two things - Superman and The Six Million Dollar Man. I'm patiently waiting for decent versions of both. They are on my grails list.

What if Superman has too many problems? You won't buy it right?

Like I said: even if they get close, I'm buying this.

It would have to be a major effing disaster to turn me away.

Then it's a disgrace people will so gladly pay these prices then. Hot Toys saw all the gullible ones paying $350 - $450+ for Scarecrow and Billiejean now this is becoming the new prices for non exclusives.

It's proven no matter what Hot Toys charge too many people will just pony up.

I just want to say I really find sig and Avatar really funny. I never thought I would see the day that Freddy would appear at Sideshow freaks :lol
