...Where's that CR sculpt that Arnie Kim's supposedly handed over to Hot Toys for approval?

I want to pre-order this figure already BEFORE I run out of funds with my bike mods!

At this point, the figure better be the most amazing thing they've ever made. Ever.

I know. :( But at least I'm not getting my expectations too high. I feel bad for the people that are anticipating so much from it.

:lol
I just think by now Hot Toys should AT LEAST give us another preview. I understand that they're probably waiting for a suprise reveal, but I doubt the fans will really care too much about being 'suprised'. We just want to see the thing.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow though!

The problem, is like Indy, people's expectations are going to be unachievable given the importance of the character to people. Honestly unless HT shrunk down to scale a Reeve in his supe suit people will not be satisfied. And say they did, unless the photographer got the lighting right people will still find fault.

Build up is too much at this point.

Robbie, I don't think that the problem with the Indy was unachievable expectations, as much as it was an inferior sculpt compared to what Sideshow had already done for half the MSRP.

:exactly: Nothing to add.

Only themselves to blame to be honest. As the countless other times. What a great PR machine it is. Hot Toys doesn't need to do any work and the public hype their own doom. Value for money.

Could be that its the best sculpt Arnie could put out. He's good at Bruce but maybe not as good on some of the others. Could be his limitations as a sculptor. What ever the Reeve head looks like it will damn sure be better then I can make. :wink1:

The build up is not HT's fault. It's about 90% of the posters here who're to blame. They expected the Bruce DX to be Superman, a stipulation THEY put on HT. Then they bashed HT for announcing Bruce (a figure they'd hinted at 3 years prior). But these people actually had the nerve to bash HT for not meeting their stipulations. Then they expected an immediate reveal after Mattel announced theirs. There were several people here actually counting down the days expecting HT to reveal Supes. It was pathetic. Then at the Toy show, it was expected, but nope, Indy was announced instead. So all of this is a result of entitled members setting themselves up for disappointment. Instead of being worried about when, everybody should be more worried about what we'll be getting. After seeing Indy and reading that the artist was pleased with his sculpt, I have little faith HT's offering will top Mattel's in likeness.

$20 shy of 1/3rd the price.

I just hope Arnie Kim stays the hell away from Hot Toys Keaton Batman and Hot Toys Nicholson Joker.
