By the way, has anyone figured out what the Sideshow exclusive T-600 base is?

Terminator Salvation takes place BEFORE the future war scene in T2, so it makes perfect sense.
By the time you see the terminators in the T2 war scene, they've all been uprated to T-800's and have plasma rifles etc. ;)

I c, got ya. I think they should have shown more T-700 if they are about to retire them soon on the films...

hmmm i missed out on the old t-800, and admittedly, this figure looks pretty awesome! That and considering the price...I wonder if I should go for it? My only beef is the lack of accessories....i could probably ebay some however. what do you fellas with the t-800 think, is this one worth the price point and the lack of accessories?

EDIT: Also, I'm considering getting my second pred on top of the pred 1 that has yet to arrive. Predator 2, battle damaged edition. It just seems too cool to not get to accompany P1. On top of that I re-watched the film and really enjoyed it, but I've got to make a choice, what should it be, Pred 2 or T-700?

EDIT 2: Nvrmind, the auction I was watching has went up past what I was willing to pay. What's it with these ebay idiots that bid on an item well before it's over??? It's in the better interested of everyone to keep the price as low as possible to as close as possible to the ending time.

I would get at least one.

It would be fantastic if HT would re-release the T-800 in chrome.

P2......at least HT got its name right.... Its has accessories... and u have a P1 coming. So why not beef up ur Pred collection?

have there been instances of screwing up the other names? Yeah, I re-edited my post instead of posting twice in a row, but basically I just checked the auction and its around 280 now, whereas last night it was at around 160. I don't get these bidders, some are just silly, driving up the price is in no interest to the winner. Anyways, I'm probably just going for a T-700 for now and waiting to eventually get the Battle Damag. when I have some cash I can throw around. For now, my moneys going toward release priced stuff.

well whoever bid priced you out so he now has a better chance since you're out of the bidding. if you're expecting to pick up a P2 for a couple hundred you're gonna be lookin for awhile...:lol

Agreed. Great figure, but that would really put it over the edge as one of the best in my collection :rock

If you watch newly listed BINs and check the sales threads here regularly, you might find one for a decent price. I've seen 3 listed in the last few months for less than $200 shipped.

that's what I figure, they're so expensive its ridiculous. But hey, 280 isn't bad compared to the other prices i've been seeing. i saw 600 buy now for a non-battle damaged standard P2.

Yeah I didn't bid on the item yet, I never do until it's the last few minutes before the auction is over.they're making it pricier for themselves but yeah, they're turning off the competition. I guess that makes sense, the one who is willing to spend the most will obviously win. Just sucks for me. :duh

Yup, P2's are suddenly not moving as strong as they used to for some reason in the past few months.

Well, in two of the three cases that I saw, I think the seller did not know the value. The auction prices for these tell a tale that the $200 price tag is a bit low. I suspect the prices will go up a bit more when the Salvation Hot Toys figures are released and people want a more complete Terminator collection. But of course, they could have the opposite effect if people are satisfied with the 700 and aren't willing to shell out the extra cash for a smoother finish and some guns.
