Hot Toys T-600 & T-700

From what I saw, the heads were smooth chrome, they may just be waiting for their chrom finishes? I really think they're all T-800's. The 700's are a bit bigger and bulkier. Plus the heads on assembly line all had regular colored teeth.

Based off of that image with all of the endos lined up, I'd say the T-700 is the one that tries to kill john as a torso. Compare the shoulders in those images with those of the t-600, the rounded shoulder joints look far more similar. In that picture, the endo labeled T-700 is smaller than the 600, but with the same pipe-arms and very similar chests and legs. You'd have to really scrutinize to see the difference.

So I just think hot toys, for whatever reason, screwed up the name and/or design. I doubt they'd want to purposely mislead and probably know this now. Who knows, maybe it IS supposed to be a sort of final battle t-800 endo, especially since they have plenty of reasons not to re-release a cheaper t-800 chrome yet and they simply misnamed it.

From my understanding the only difference between the T-700 & 800 is that T-700 is a grey gun metal colour and the T-800 is chrome... In the Four-Minute Preview Marcus takes the jaw of a T-700!

nope, it's a 600. 600's were the only ones present at the vla. not to sound like a broken record, there in no 700 (either mentioned or displayed on anything on camera) in the movie. just the 600, the first 800 infiltrator aka "captain cameo",

Playmates and Hot Toys mislabled the T-700. If you have seen the film, you should know that the figures labeled T-700 both by Hot Toys and Playmates is actually the battle damaged T-R.I.P (Resistance Infiltraitor Prototype)/ T-800 after having molten steel? on it, then having a cold liquid coolant sprayed on it. Once you see the film, you'll catch on

Isn't the T-700 what attacked John at the begining on the movie the he blew away with the machine gun?

Nope..... That's a T600.... thicker arms and also the distinct panel lines on the skull

Really looking forward to those. They cut the scene from the trailer where a T-1 rises out of water, and treads rolling over a skull. Wonder what else they left out?

Just got back. 99% sure the Endos in the factory in the end had metal teeth, would would more like HT's T-700. At a first glance, yeah, T-800 would seem like the logical idenification. I think John called them wrong though.

Whether the T-700 HT/Playmates are releasing is in fact a T-700 or not, I'm not sure. But it was what was being made in that factory. Early T-800s perhaps. But they weren't like the Arnold prototype with the real teeth and smooth, crome finish.

By the way, has anyone figured out what the Sideshow exclusive T-600 base is?

IMO, you hit the nail on the head.
The "factory terminators" are foot soldiers in the fact that they don't need a human disguise. That's the reason why they don't have human teeth or need the smooth finish needed to bear human tissue.

Essentially, the T-700 and T-800 are the same, however the T-800 are designated as Terminator-INFILTRATORS and the T-700 are just Terminators.

I might still get the Hot Toys T-700 down the line if I find one at a good price. However, at this point it's not a priority to me.

As for the movie, to me, it needed a bit more back-story. However, I can't get the movie out of my head.

Terminator Salvation takes place BEFORE the future war scene in T2, so it makes perfect sense.
By the time you see the terminators in the T2 war scene, they've all been uprated to T-800's and have plasma rifles etc.
