HT Has had 4 tries at this suit already. They should be able to do it perfectly without even looking.
EB NAILED it on its first try. (Don't even make bring the BB suits HT has put in the market, garbage... I own one though, lol)
As it stands though, I like this figure, and I can't wait to put him next to my EB Bats.

The only thing I am worried about is that I hope it isn't undersized.

I have a feeling it might not be undersized in height but in mass and proportions

Like the head being smaller or the torso or arms so it looks out of scale next to the EB

Not that it is the HT is underscaled either. Maybe the EB is overscaled slightly

I think it may be both. :(

Well whether Hot Toys is undersized or EB is over-sized, I just hope this figure fits well with the EB 1/4 scale figures.

I just called cmdstore to update my card info, and the tep told me theres a note under the item saying that the supplier will ship in September...

Anyway, do you guys think HT will make a 1/4 Batman Begins? I cant decide if I should cave in with Enterbay's or "wait" for HT to release their own version.

I bought that up earlier. If it does turn out to be undersized, which camp will you be in? HT got it right and EB got it wrong? Or vice versa?

Does it matter? So what if there are a few millimetres in it. It's not going to stop people buying it.

Standing a figure straight upright to achieve it's maximum length does not result in a good pose. Batman owners tend to have him ever so slightly hunched and / or head tilted forward.

Natural poses require a slight bend in the knees which results in height being lost.

All of this means that, if posed next to each other, any height difference betwen HT or EB is not going to be noticable.

You're absolutely right that it ultimately won't matter because people will buy it regardless, such as yours truly:yess:

But when this does get released, comparisons WILL be made, and it is guaranteed that the fans will be split down the middle.

There is, however, the middle ground. this will be my first 1/4 scale figure. Ill have nothing to compare it to nor have it be a companion piece to. So I'll place myself in the camp that is; it's right:wink1:

And should HT continue with the QS series and make their joker and begins armor, I won't be mixing and matching with other companies and just stick with HT.

Can't wait for this figure, I'm gonna have him on the left and the enterbay on the right with enterbay joker in the middle :) can just imagine the awesome set up! Hope hot toys does bane in 1/4

bigger is better

:exactly:

Have you seen the size difference from Hot Toys endo to EBs Terminators? We are not talking milimetres here we are talking inches :eek

:lecture
So yes it matters a lot and none of your suggestions will make it look make much of a difference if it is really off by inches!

Ok it seems like you guys are somewhat certain that HT will make a 1/4 batman begins.

Ill pass on the enterbay then

I wouldn't pass on it if you can get it cheap.

Are you just talking about that poster for the upcoming releases for September? What do you find looks wrong with the figure?
When I look at the upcoming release poster something looks different to me than what was SDCC. I just have a gut feeling that the figure from SDCC is not what we are going to receive when this figure ships.

Yeah it looked different to me also, which is why I am waiting on in hand pics before I pre order. I know I am on the EX waitlist but I dont consider that a pre order.

I'm somewhat on the same boat. I saw this in person at SDCC, and I can't really say how much praise it was getting from every single person that saw it. I even overheard people saying how much he improved over the proto that they showed before, so not all of those people were seeing a HT figure for the first time.
But something seems a little weird on that coming soon pic.
Whatever, if I don't like my EX, I can always get my money back and in some instances a little more by selling it.

A few years back the same thing happened with the Batman MMS 71. The promo pics were dead on and everyone thought this was going to be the perfect Batman figure, but when it shipped it was totally different, so I very pessimistic on this new QS-001. Fingers crossed that it will be what we saw at the SDCC.

No way dude, if u want that batman get it, the headsculpts alone are incredible, the only thing I would suggest is a custom cape. The rubber suit Is very high quality and has a super smooth finish.

I have the enterbay begins and joker. I can look at them for hours, just brought the t800 clean version so I can appreciate it before the bd. just incredible pieces.

I don't trust hot toys and "rubber suits" any more.
