Totally unavoidable if you want to be able to bow the head.

:exactly:

That's not the proto. That's what you own.

:nono

That website is usually the first post pics of in hand protos, plus this pic was released roughly the same time they just announced that they were releasing the DX12.

I am not going to argue with you if u think that human head sculpt is the same as zoombie monster head sculpt like in this picture below, then believe what you want to believe. Stop trying to persuade others IMO the product sculpt is totally deformed compared to the proto one, it looks obvious to me. If people think it is just the paint job then why doesn't someone get this repainted to look like proto. :huh

The proto head sculpt is quite symmetrical and the face does not look deformed or asymmetrical such as this.

That IS what we own.

We don't have that exact same sculpt, just look at the hair. On the final product it looks too shiny and looks like a towel on his head than actual strands of hair, and it isn't as sharp as this sculpt. If it is the same sculpt then they need to fire someone at HT company.

Confused. So do they do proto pics or in-hand pics?

Proto pics of the proto in hand, you know what I mean they take pictures of the proto. Just like how Kidadultoy shop has the proto on displayed and videos it sometimes.

I honestly thought their pictures are always the first to come out of the actual production piece. :dunno

I wonder what will become of the MOS Superman sculpt.

I would not worry, despite what Badmutha said, most Hot Toys protos look extremely close to their final products An example is the DX11, I can only see minor differences and Storm Shadow I can see no difference at all, looks exactly like the proto to me.

What are you talking about Drac, according to most people on here it already does look like that? Doesn't it?

:lol

I don't think so. But if people say it's the same let them prove it. I have an open mind. Just recreate the picture above and lets see if it's the exact same sculpt.

I hope so, the main reason why I got it was because I liked the movie and right when I saw it after I got on my computer I had to have it :lol

Drac I don't think you will ever be able to prove it or satisfy the people that think it isn't a different sculpt. By different I mean deformed version from the proto, not an entirely different sculpt.

So I think we should just move on.

The coming soon picture doesn't look any different :dunno

if anything it's exactly the same just under different lighting.

From the size of it in the picture what exactly are you seeing that's different because all i can really make out is the overall detail no specifics

The production will be slightly worse than the proto anyway

I thought the upcoming release pic was suppose to be a picture of the production product? :dunno

So the MOS they are displaying right now is the production piece and not the proto?

Hell if I know. I'm not following that figure.

No one thinks it's a different sculpt. No one believes that someone actually sat down and resculpted Christian Bale between Proto and Production. You don't believe that and I don't believe that. So we agree there.

No one will ever say that production sculpts aren't softer than proto sculpts. No one will ever say that production paint is as good as proto paint. So we agree there.

The only area where we disagree is that you seem to think the disparity between proto and production are particularly tragic in this case.

For me, as someone who owns every Bruce Wayne sculpt Hot Toys has ever made, there is no tragedy here. It's immeasurably better than every previous attempt, and I love it. That's where we disagree.

A part from the love part, I actually agree with you, since I have hated every Bale sculpt from Hot Toys anyway. So this is the best worst sculpt out of all the worst sculpts they did. I am sort of paraphrasing a line from Argo. :lol
