Hot Toys TDKR: 1/4th scale Batman [QS001] - Full Reveal & Specs

Probley when OMG post up pics on facebook. If HT were gonna have final product pics of the figure. I'm pretty sure they would have done it by now. It seems like the it's the same way they did the DX10. They changed the head sculpt alot on that also and never had final product pics.

Really? Wasn't aware that DX10 didn't have final product pics commissioned by HT. If so, HT should've done otherwise. A lot of fans didn't PO DX10 because of the poor proto sculpt. Showing the final product pics could've risen sales of the figure -- just like how QS001 went sold out days after the improved HS was seen at the SDCC. OMG posted DX10 final products photos here though. So that wasn't commissioned?

Also, it's still too early. We just saw the coming soon group photo. Maybe we would see teasers in a week or two, then followed by final product photos from OMG and his peers days after?

Yes, I'm almost 100% sure that noone seen the final product of the DX10 untill they got it in hand. Your right that it is kind of a bad move by Hot Toys.

I do too, can't wait to see a teaser for 1/4 BM.
If it's from plastic enemies than it would take three more months...

People were the same about Keaton, and he absolutely nailed it. They said the same about Ledger, and that was a performance that made him a superstar, albeit post mortem, but very deservedly.

I'll give Affleck a chance, though having said that, I'm a little underwhelmed.

Great to hear man. I really wanted the empty cowl but it was sold out on SCC by the time I ordered.

I doubt I will end up getting it anyway, after all I am only on the waitlist its not like it has converted or anything.

I remember so many people saying the same thing before Bale took the mask. You'll have years of slating, you'll see it and all this talk today thats years old will have been all forgotten. When you're all half a decade older or so you'll look back and say how dated it all is and so on. Thats life.

I can't wait to see the day when collectors really mature and become cynics. The ways of teenage/twenties for keyboard warriors will be soon gone from them. Then be bashing the younger generation. It always happens.

Hmm IDK, you are forgetting Christian Bale is a really good actor that can play multiple roles as was Keaton. Both actors lost themselves in roles and thus played different characters before they even played Batman. I think Ben Affleck is a great director and a decent actor but he pretty much just plays him self in every movie, like most movie stars in hollywood do.

Ben Affleck as Batman? that sounds to me like George Clooney as Batman.. Oh wait that already happened!...

Well if the movie is good, there might be a chance I'd forget the bad plot cast.

Yeah I think it will be similar to that unfortunately.

I knew Hardy was going to be lolz the day he was announced in the role. My thing is, anyone could have played that character with that stupid mask and voice.

That might be true but at least he can do an American accent a lot of foreign actors can't even do that.

As for Ledger, I know I doubted him (and that doubt was proved wrong). I didn't get worked up like people did then though, or like they're doing now.

Yeah I am not getting worked up either, I just doubt Afflect will go down in history as a great Batman but we will see.

Most people didn't like Ledger because he was a recluse and didnt act like a movie star as he rarely attended big events or was in big budget movies other than Brokeback mountain. So I think their hate is blinding them from seeing what a great actor he was.

Sad thing is, Ledger really never got to see any of the praise he earned for the role. He died right before everyone was losing their **** about how great it was.

Yeah sure is and it would of been good for him to see those people that hated him turn around love him after seeing the TDK.

I think this movie isn’t going to be good because Snyder is directing. If they released Affleck as Batman and Nolan the director I would be extremely excited for the movie.

Writers and directors have always been more important to me than actors when it came to me believing in a film.

I would say it is a combination of both IMO.

Will definitely give Affleck a chance. Argo was tight. Affleck is a smart guy...and intelligence is a must for anyone cast as Bruce Wayne. This is actually a very risky choice for Ben. He has a very hard-earned rep as a director that a Batman-fail could tarnish. So this takes big stones and I applaud that.

I don't hate DAREDEVIL, but hopefully his experience with that movie's shortcomings will be an asset, (as in: knowing what NOT to do).

And, yes, Affleck's casting confirms the end of Nolan/Bale Batman, adding significance to this figure for some of us. It's no longer just a great figure...it's also a send-off of sorts.

I haven't been in the game long enough to know if what I think has any truth to it, but I'm thinking this will be the last bale Batman from Hot Toys until there's enough nostalgia surrounding TDK in the future to make them think its worth revisiting the old catalog.

Ben Affleck isnt Batman for me, never will be. When a Superman/Batman collaberation was announced how many of us guys and many others cried out Karl Urban...? Because after his portrayal of Judge Dredd was as good as Christian Bales Batman. He had the gritty look, the "dirty harry" influenced voice and we couldnt tell by the armour but probably the right body mass etc if he played Batman inwould have looked the new Snyder Batman as Frank Miller's as is All Star Batman & Robin...

Ben Affleck already played a "Dark" vigilante as i recall, and he ****ed it up so bad that i wanna spit on the floor whenever i see the front cover. Christian Bale is Batman, the only other human who has the natural gift of taking over the role is Karl Urban.

From the backlash of this casting announcement, it sounds like HT may go all in on the Marvel/Iron Man figure production from now on.... yes, even more than it already has.

That said, CANNOT WAIT to see the final result of this quarter scale fig.
