Not above admitting I'm wrong if I am, but it just looks like a matter of s**tty paint apps.

The terminator shots look like they retooled the hair and maybe the face until you look down at the pic of his face at the bottom. Looks like the unpainted Dutch face.

Nope, the first one, with the heavy camo, was done by someone else, I know who, but I don't know if they want to be tied to it or whatever so I won't say, then there was the middle one, and then that got further revised, HT even made this site pull images of that prototype because the portrait was undergoing further changes.

That's why I say T1 figures will be a ways off, they went through 3 heads to give us an approved by Arnold portrait, and it'll likely be the same with T1.

That's why I said, the full body shot looks good, yet the face in the portrait shot looks like a different head.

I do hope they go that route. I'd love some new Terminator figures but I'm not going to drop that kinda $$$ on a rehash of an older sculpt.

Well, T2 license covers his portrait, so they don't have to get him to personally sign off on the portrait, so it'll be less painful with T2 than Predator or T1 will be, though hopefully with T1 they learn not to show it to us until Arnold 100% signs.

Come on, guys. I seriously doubt HT would just reuse the Dutch sculpt for T800.

I'm going off topic for a bit, but are the bottom two Dutch head sculpts actually different? They look the same once you get past the paint job.

They're more subtly different, but they are different. The 2nd head had a fairly flat expression, the final one is quite focused looking, and more detailing in the forhead. The overall head is also squished/shortened, nose, whole face.

I'll take your word for it. Either way, it doesn't look like the same one on the T800.

Also, the T-800 looks like a totally new sculpt. Comparing details that can be seen. Like the hair and chin.

Until you look at the pic on the bottom where it shows him without the glasses on. That's the image we're all referring to. It looks like a Dutch repaint.

I don't think there's a difference either. I just think the paint is better. We've seen time and again how good sculpts are ruined by poor paints. The "2nd Sculpt" I think suffers from bad paint apps vs. a more "refined 3rd sculpt." They look identical save for the paint.

It isn't the Dutch head...it has the dimple on its chin. Tankman put it in his T2 sculpt.
