if thats the way you feel more power to you buddy. but unlike you i don't have that take it or leave it attitude. I am a big fan of t-2 and want to voice my opinion about the product. Besides i thought thats what forums are for... has the rules changed? are we suppose to love everything hot toys offer unconditionally? get a grip buddy.

Again what product. Show me the offical announcement from Hot Toys with the official pics. get a grip indeed.

I just find it ironic that someone can spend $650 on a figure with zero complaints, that looks nothing like the actor (just being honest, Rainman is an excellent artist though) but complain about a figure that costs 1/4 the price with tiny imprefections.

I think at this point though, clear, quality resolution, official HT proto images are the ones to make any suggestions on, we don't know when those photos were taken and submitted to that magazine, could be the one shot actually is a non-Cammo Dutch just for the sake of the layout.

Example, Sideshow preordered their Emperor yesterday, but for whatever reason, the figure wasn't 100% complete, at least one accessory, when the photos were snapped some time ago. Things like magazines have to be submitted in advance, HT might have wanted the T2 marketed in there but weren't along in development enough with some photos and did some screwy things. When they release specs and pics and say, here's the product you can preorder, then it's safe to really judge what they're offering.

yeah but there's no harm in judging what we see. if everything must be absolute before we judge than why allow this scanned photo to be posted anyways?

Ok guys, let's keep it calm here.

Like it or not, it has to be accepted now that there are 2 dominant mind sets at this site now. Some people are just excited enough to see anything made from properties they like and aren't overly critical of the products, some are very passionate about how the final product turns out and vocal about their dissappointments. This is how the SSF population is, so it has to be accepted that it's what you're going to encounted around here and trying to silence either side isn't going to go anywhere but a digital brawl.

thats your opinion. am i not allowed to have my own?

Opinions based on the photos are one thing, but I separate opinions and suggestions, and I'm just saying, no point suggesting anything yet because the figure could be 10x different than this magazine scan already.

So who cares, its modified, its not, wtf are you all complaining about. If it looked alot like him why start over from scratch. Man you guys will find anything to ????? about. Its the holidays go get laid.

Its a ????ing Arnold from ????ing hot toys people. We've been waiting for this a long time, we don't even have one ????ing official pic and 2 pages of whiney ?????ing.

Sickening.

I care. Why? Because if I'm paying $170+ for a ****** figure (factor in Sideshow's price, shipping and CA sales tax) I'd expect the company not to cut corners by reusing or modifying existing sculpts. If you don't have a problem with that, you should be spending less time here and more time digging that HT curly out from between your molars.

but thats my point exactly some of these guys are getting so offended based on a few suggestions and opinions we have on this magazine scan. we aren't bad mouthing it but even if we were why would it even matter seeing how its not the final product.

with all that said

I AM VERY HAPPY HT HAS LISTENED TO US AND DECIDED TO RELEASE T-2 ARNIE!

You know for a guy who claims to be married you spend alot of time here.

Of course, all were saying is wait to see what your judging dude.

thats not all you were saying i found your posts very offensive up until now.

but in any case no point in derailing this thread whatever the purpose it is for.

Absolutely hense why I never bother posting in Rainmans threads about the cost issue. I respect his work and what you guys see in his work. Its all good. But when you say that we will take anything Hot Toys throws at us it becomes insulting rather than just opinion. For the record I am a huge Hot Toys fan but have always been 100% honest when they make mistakes.

Overall for the money, Hot Toys has no competition .............. if any other company made something similar it would merit arguing and fussing but there isn't. Now this doesn't mean "I will take whatever they give me" either. I can just appreciate spending $140+ and getting something that stands head and shoulders above everything else.

If I was willing to shell out $650 on a figure (regardless of how limited it is) I would demand it look damn near life like ............. otherwise i'd pass on it rather than complain.

Yea because everyone always just ?????es about these things.

Again there aren't even official pics, the point of this should be people getting excited over a T2 arnold coming down the pipe.

If it were like the 2010 licenses where all was shown was a T2 poster saying COMING SOON, i'm sure that's how it would be, but with an actual product image, be it early or final prototype, opinions on it are going to fly, and some people are just more critical of the things they buy than others.

Yea I hear ya, thats actually a reason I was all the more relieved to see this leaked pic, after no confirmation of the license in the 2010 releases.

That's just the way of Hot Toys. Their primary marketing and production effort goes into currently released or coming films, they ride the hype and cash in on it.

Properties like Alien or Terminator (outside of Salvation) are more money for them, but not a primary thing to push, so we get these little trickle out things and then one day out of the blue we'll just see something. It stinks, especially since I'm more interested in their work on older stuff, previous Marvel films, older Terminator films, but it's the Avatars and Iron Man 2s and those films that'll get the limelight from HT and we'll just have to enjoy when the older stuff comes out, like this.

At least with this figure, there wasn't too much expectation, at least for me, their site poll gave me hope they might visit these films but I didn't take it as concrete and almost forgot it as a possibility until this figure sealed it.

:lol Fair enough, but you gotta see where I'm coming from, there aren't offical pics, just be happy this is coming for now, and worry when the final product shown still looks rehashed.

Okay, so if they debut the prototype and everybody says, "IT LOOKS GREAT!" so they roll with the re-uses, well, which crowd would you be in then? There's no problem pointing out observations. You won't find me continually whining in every Predator thread over Dutch like the douches in the Star Wars threads do. I'm disappointed he's a bit scrunched but I still bought him. However, retooling something, especially at the price point we'll be dropping for this, is unacceptable. So here's hoping they were just playing around and actually intend to give us a unique sculpt with each release. They did it with Stallone, they can do it, and it should be all but expected, for Arnie.

I think the poll failed them. There's more money to be had on the T1 license, especially with TS out now. The T-800's re-first appearance was the perfect segue. Plus, it would've garnered even more attention to the inevitable T2 license which, sadly, I don't think we'll see a Connor from. They've yet to debut a smaller body.
