Does anyone else feel that the way Tony Stark goes through one suit per fight makes the Iron Man armour seem kinda... lame? I don't know how else you'd represent it in a movie, but at the moment it just seems that anything that touches the armour rips chunks off it or destroys it.

Even if he'd use an older variant once in a while, like going back to the mkV for a bit, or whatever. Just stop getting it trashed every time he puts it on!

well he's making the suits out of titanium and what not. So there's no metal that's indestructible, unless it's vibrainium and adamantium. But since adamantium is owned by fox, and vibrainium is so rare in the marvel universe, I guess we're stuck with getting new armor every movie.

Also, it's a great marketing strategy. More toys, merchandise, why not make a new armor.

I'm fine with that, I get to pad my collection with new armors

I hope mark VII could be realese in a future, I'll gladly buy it but I don't know what I'll do, I don't have enough space for my figures

Has anyone heard if any of the 3000 pieces will be available
through any US retailers? Would love the 16 piece edition, but
that will never happen, lol.

It's a nice model but I have the MK V, don't really need more then one suit IMO, only other suit I would consider is war machine

I think its comming they have to milk the mold one last time since they are already offering the Mark 4 with the Gantry its most likely they will provide us with something to get up to a certain production number maybe a comic con exclusice or something.

If those numbers are accurate it all but guarantees Sideshow will offer this somehow. If so, I would do it ASAP to capitalize on this current Avengers buzz.

Has anyone tried asking SS yet? I remembered during the batman / Bruce wayne exclusives, SS did confirm to folks that they'd be bringing in a decent amount and that anyone who wants one would get it.

It probably wouldn't hurt if everyone who wants one sends them an email. Maybe if they see the level of interest, they'll do what they can to get some for us? I know I would in my business. Interest = $$$$

Yeah, I actually think it's silly. I think he should go through some lower-level fights without getting too banged up sometimes. The BD is cool looking and when it's a knock-down drag-out fight it makes sense, but I do think they need to lay off of it a little bit. In the same way, I wonder if Cap has to get his shield repainted after every fight!

At least he kept the Mark VI from Iron Man 2 through most of Avengers, unlike going directly to the Mark IV at the start of Iron Man 2. So I would expect him to keep the Mark VII at the begining of Iron Man 3 since it was barely ready.

At least mk 6 was still functioning when he switched to 7. It was relatively intact, aside from being scratched to hell. It sure took a beating, pretty much went through the meat grinder and was totally fine Actually very durable.

Im glad it didn't get destroyed cause Ilike having them all lined up but I want it to be accurate. Like I wouldn't put WM next to mk 2 since its the same suit

At least he kept the Mark VI from Iron Man 2 through most of Avengers, unlike going directly to the Mark IV at the start of Iron Man 2. So I would expect him to keep the Mark VII at the begining of Iron Man 3 since it was barely ready.

Actually, it would make sense if he start a new suit after hes done with the shwarma considering that he upgraded his "one off" laser beam from the mark vi, to a more durable one on the mark VII

. After this battle, stark must have realized that his suit, Jarvis etc aren't operational once it reaches outer space.

Which means the next time he fights another alien similar to Thor or greater, he runs that risk of having his face/mask crushed.
