I hope so too. First time I am really into a Batmobile. I was afraid of paying $1700 with shipping from JazzInc. I see the HT Balemobile is $630 on Sideshow, so perhaps $800 total with ship is realistic. Half the price and I don't need smoke or sounds as lights, open doors and rotatable tires will be just fine.

I think the buzz is so big on this, if HT doesn't do anything with it, they will take a ton of heat. This is Batman and way above a Classic Loki level.

I'll keep pounding the table for that bike though. Milk this Batman!
You said it all right there. Who knew the day would come where I'd rather rely on HT for a lower priced item?

I actually feel bad for joost and wonder if he regrets that license. He was adamant about not being in competition and not creating anything that Hot Toys is doing or did. He tripled checked to make sure no other company had 1/6 rights to it, he seemed hurt in that video.

If DC/WB breached their contract then he can sue them. I always thought him not wanting to do anything Hot Toys is doing is more on a license issue back when he wasn't licensed by DC.

I think if the quality is still above the other two, he still has a market. If I've learned anything about the side of this collectible market, there's us 1/6 peasants that are ready to be priced out and there are those that can afford much more expensive customs and statues. Obviously those that can afford the higher range definitely want the better product. So if Joost can deliver, I hope it gets recognized and bought.

Woke up this morning like… wait wut?! I will support Jazz but I do understand the point of that video because when it comes down to the dollar a lot of people are going to make their decisions based on personal finance. But I’d be shocked it HT even makes this if they do it would totally be a *** at his business.

I'd be shocked if they didn't make it now. That post makes it pretty clear the car is coming. I know they've shown stuff at conventions and then never followed through but this is more than that.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if it debuts at this event on Friday and goes for pre-order shortly after. It's in their interests to get it done as quickly as possible now.

Queen Studios have theirs coming to. Of the three I'm sure HT will be the weakest in terms of build quality but that will also be reflected in the price. As long as it looks awesome on the shelf all lit up that's good enough for me. I don't need sound or smoke effects, heavyweight materials etc.

HT build quality is cleaner imo. Jazz has a few rough edges, but people expected that because they don't have the manufacturing resources HT has. I have the Jazz justice mobile and I wouldn't say it's built better than DeLorean, 89 mobile, or even Tumbler..

Really? I think the '89 Batmobile is *very* solid. The only weakness being the easy-to-scratch finish.
Well I was just going on my experience with the HT DeLorean. Beautiful on display but relatively light and very plastic. Reviews I saw of the Jazz Inc justice mobile said how heavy it was compared to HT vehicles.

Just eager to see what both QS and HT bring to the table.

Ah. The '89 is heavy and solid.

89 was a solid piece and great quality for its time the delorean was much lighter and thinner materials as far as how it feels in hand. I can tell you the BVS from Jazz you’ll need to be ready to lift bc it’s heavy and full of detail let’s not even go there with BW Ecto one, you would literally have to plan to lift or move that thing lol. I’m in for all the cars it’s makes it difficult when we now have multiple companies making the same vehicle lol. Us car people are happy to have options but damn 😆

Very curious how HT and Jazz is going to price these... I doubt even HT's will be under $1000. Their v2 Delorean is $800 with 90% reused parts.
Agreed. If Jazzinc offers base and deluxe versions (base would have less bells and whistles - i.e., closer to what HT would make) I don't think the cost difference between the base and HT's will be that significant. No way that HT gives us smoke, sound effects, etc.

I have the HT Tumbler and the Jazzinc BvS Justice Mobile. The Tumbler looks cleaner, but it's also much lighter and quite fragile. The design of the TB Batmobile is much more straightforward compared to the BvS Justice Mobile, and I think it would be more robust than any HT offering. Plus we've already seen Joost's prototype work, and its lines are quite clean.

Again, you have HT showing illustrations in, what I believe to be a defensive and reactionary mode to a perceived market threat. Meanwhile, Joost is showing a rolling prototype that he had the drive and passion to put real money, time, and effort into.

If Joost is going to make it, I'll be buying from him - that simple. Just my opinion.

My thoughts exactly. If joost price is within $3-400 I’ll go with him. It’s something about a builder that listens to his customers and makes changes based on legitimate feedback that makes me want to spend money with them. HT will have hundreds of comments all noting the same obvious mistake, and they’ll ignore it knowing they have no competition. With that being said HT is still the standard and will be cheaper so I 100% understand why the majority will go with them.

I get all of us want to talk about this, but nothing is on preorder. HT has shown us that putting the cart before the horse is a trend with them.

WB could have told him correctly at the time as HT might have quickly put in license for the 1/6th Batmobile. There could have been a courtesy call to him, but maybe WB just processes them as they go. Now Queen Studios announced it, so both might have been fairly recent. Or WB's left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, which is quite plausible.

Yeah usually when we get a tease from HT it's weeks prior to the movie coming out. The way they suddenly dropped this right after the figure, and after the movie has proven to be a big hit, makes me think it's a bit more serious on their part.

And after rereleases of the Tumbler and Batpod, and putting the Part 2 DeLorean up for order, it seems clear that they're much more committed to producing vehicles again.
