Hot Toys: The Dark Knight: 1/4 The Joker

Yeah the joker figure is pretty much sold out or on the way to selling out preorders.. if I had the 1/4 TDK I would deff buy this joker regardless of final release. But to me this joker is underwhelming and not worth me to buy-Then to go and buy the 3rd market value TDK figure...and the begins suit is meh as well so it’s not even worth to go that route.. ehh kinda feel like I’m in an awkward place in my life.. as a kid I loved batman.. I feel like I’m changing and becoming more of an iron man fan.. not understanding what’s happening to my tastes. Hahaha

blasphemy! I can't imagine ever liking that tin can even 1% as much as Batman. Like many Marvel creations based heavily on already established DC characters if not straight up rip-offs.

The sculpt on this Joker might be underwhelming right now but if it is being reworked it might turn out very nice. The long delay is a good sign for me, HT probably realised what they had wasn't doing justice to either Heath or the Joker.

The Begins suit is one of the best Batman has ever worn but I can see why some are underwhelmed by the HT BB compared to the Enterbay. I picked up my TDK QS001 for a reasonable price on eBay but had to be patient. Too much armour for my tastes but it's a nice alternate look and glad to have it for when the Joker finally arrives.

I wouldn't but it depends how much you like the concept of the Ex sculpt. Still a good chance of converting I'd have thought given the long delay on the figure. Some don't cancel until it comes time to pay the remaining balance.

Yeah. The Begins figure is pretty underwhelming, especially when compared to the Enterbay. I would’ve canceled had it not been for the NRD, but maybe I’ll flip it in a year or two if it gains any value. I’m not cancelling Joker though since I want him to go with QS001.

Could not disagree more. The QS009 is a much more solid figure than the Enterbay one, and I had both of them
with the intent to give the Hot Toys one the EB faceplates, but decided against it.

From paint apps to the underlying body, QS009 beats out Enterbay IMO.
The main thing was getting him a good custom cape and giving him the Bale HS from QS001. PERFECTION!

As a figure in terms of feel and quality, sure. Absolutely. However, from every pic I've seen the Enterbay cowl blows Hot Toys' attempt out of the water.

Could not disagree more. The QS009 is a much more solid figure than the Enterbay one, and I had both of them
with the intent to give the Hot Toys one the EB faceplates, but decided against it.

From paint apps to the underlying body, QS009 beats out Enterbay IMO.
The main thing was getting him a good custom cape and giving him the Bale HS from QS001. PERFECTION!

Hot Toys doesn't get the caucasian skin tone right most of the time, their figures tend to be way too tan and the QS Batmen they brought out are no exception in that regard. EB nailed it. Sculptwise EB wins too. HT's eyes are more realistic (although the color is wrong) and - as we all know - qualitywise their figures are superior, no question.

I mean, arguably, one of the biggest looks of that cowl is the shape of the mouth, seems to me Hot Toys got the roundedness of it whereas Enterbay have an almost sharp angle at the corner of the mouth. The shape of the eyes aren't correct neither. But none of that really matters when it looks like it's made from a really cheap plastic. Don't get me wrong, I think Hot Toys could have done a lot better, however, Enterbay isn't the holy grail people claim it to be, it's got plenty wrong with it if you apply the same scrutiny as you do to the Hot Toys.

Faceplate looks better to me, though.

Here’s my only 2 1/4s set up in detolfs. I like to display the boxes with all my figures. If you use the adapters to reposition the shelves you can display the figure, box and accessories. Just need a 3rd now for my joker, when he finally shows up.

No figure will please everyone but I'm surprised how unimpressed you were with the EB Batman. It has plenty of issues, its cheap build quality, little to no articulation but purely from a visual point of view it's stunning especially after fixing the belt and installing a custom cape.

None that I am aware of. I think a new Nolan Joker 1/6 is a stronger possibility
