OK then...the cowl is too long and the eyes too high, the chest is too big and tapers to the torso, not straight as MaulFan mentioned, making him appear bulky. That being said....this figure looks beautiful and I can't wait to own it.

Don't get me wrong, I am personally 100% satisfied with what I see with this figure.

I chime in the analysis side because, when it's civil, i find that sort of discussion fun, and from my art training, I can see minute detail more than I'd like to, sometimes miss stuff, but often see more than most and I hate it.

So as far as measuring the ability of this figure to exactly 1/6 replicate Batman from the film, I can see the deviations and agree with them, but I can also see some possible reasons why, so I share those, but in the end, i will be totally happy when I receive mine because I bought this figure to have a badass looking Batman and I think it's hit that nail on the head. I've never been a big supporter of the suit design, so I never set out to buy a perfect replica figure. I had a hunch from past experience that HT's might be a bit stylized/idealistic representation and just a sharp looking figure, and they delivered on my expectation.

It looks like the armor and mesh don't blend as much.

The new suit isn't really that lean. The reason IMO why it looks more lean is that they changed the cowl and he doesn't have that "panther neck" anymore. If you look at the pics of TDK suit he still looks pretty bulky. The HT version is a little "fat" but not by much. The chest does seem too big though.

I think you are right on the two suits. There doesn't seem to be much difference in bulk. It just looks more slim than it really is. Like how the Begins suit looks more bulky than it really is.

I wish there was a comparison shot of the real suits next to each other (in the same photo), then we could put this to rest.

i just cancelled my order on this Batman,seeing it beside the BB suit makes me realize its not worth the money,FOR ME,still a nice figure though.

My decision was based on the sculpt and that the body is bigger than the BB suit,doesnt seem right.

I've complained a lot about aspects of this figure, but none of it has ever been directed towards the size and/or bulk of the figure versus the real deal and...I don't need to, I like the slight extra bulk, it makes him tougher, and it's not so obvious that it raises eyebrows. He's about the same size to the HT BB figure, then?

The photo of the actual TDK suit on display really did it for me. The chest is actually that big! I'm fairly surprised.

That's funny! I just ordered one just now (I had canceled a pre-order on this a while back). I actually like the extra bulk, and the latest pics really did it for me. (especially the one where Batman's relaxing in a chair.)
