The new suit isn't really that lean. The reason IMO why it looks more lean is that they changed the cowl and he doesn't have that "panther neck" anymore. If you look at the pics of TDK suit he still looks pretty bulky. The HT version is a little "fat" but not by much. The chest does seem too big though.

That real photo demonstrates why the figure's chest looks oversized. Note the space between the chest and hips on figure and real suit. Bale in suit almost shoots straight down from his chest to his hips, the HT figure curves in defining a stronger upper torso musculature. It's really a case of the shape of HT's base body and their method for assembling the armor on him. It's not dead to the movie look, but it's the optimum look they're going to get out of a figure with their body. If they matched the rubber suit to the movie, it'd probably fold and flop around at the torso.

It looks fantastic and i'm not surprised, i've never had to doubt HT's and what they do!

Where are all the nitpickers? Its kinda odd having such a peacefull 5 or 6 pages in a Batman related thread.

Can't wait to get this one!

OK then...the cowl is too long and the eyes too high, the chest is too big and tapers to the torso, not straight as MaulFan mentioned, making him appear bulky. :) That being said....this figure looks beautiful and I can't wait to own it.

This pic rocks, fave so far.

I love it and can't wait to get it!!

Some pics showing neck articulation. Can't really get him to look down.....

But he has no problems looking up.....the better to ride the batpod with!

That's worrying...I really want him with the head tipped low - more menacing.

yeah i was hoping he would be able to look down more this time but i guess not, i wanted to have one of my HT batmans to look down like in the iconic pose but i guess ill have to settle for another pose, CANT WAIT TO GET THIS, HURRY JOE

:horror Word!

I absolutely love what I've seen so far. The pictures from today have made me want this thing way more the pics from a couple days ago.

I prefer the Ori Bat for a more iconic design and the DK Bat for a more military/modern ninja type of design.

I used to feel the same way. 2 things changed my mind. HT fixed the lower portion of the suit and I wanted a figure with more movement in his head. The BB version just doesn't have that and TDK does. I was originally hooked by the character during the Neil Adams run and just couldn't fathom having a Batman who's not as dynamic in the overall poses. You just can't get that with the BB version.

Pic of the actual suit from the Arclight Theater here in Hollywood. As you see, it is a little bulky and the chest has size to it.

Yeah, if HT based their figure on this pic then they completely nailed it. The figure looks identical to the suit.
