I think it's pointless to compare HT's prototype with Inarts' final product. I still think Inart's l

Both look enough like Ledger, imo. Although, I can't tell anymore. Too many sculpts and photos of Ledger looking differently depending on the scene or photo.

Having said that, The Inarts face looks like it's wearing actual makeup, not just painted to look white like HT. The hair and hairline on Inarts are also better than the HT prototype. HT can improve that with the final product, but at best it will look more or less like the Inarts.

The tie on the Inarts looks more detailed, but not necessarily more accurate, but who the hell knows.

I think I might prefer the HT shoes, but again, not sure which are more screen accurate.

The gloves, I give to Inarts easily.

If HT gives us a small box, I'll give them some points for that. The Inarts box is the most ridiculous box I've ever seen.

Anyway, all this comparison and speculating is pointless until we the final product. I'm just glad the Inarts final product is a good and as accurate as it is because it's different enough from the HT to justify owning. It captures other scenes from the film very well.

I hope the HT final product is great as well.
The tie is by Turnbull & Asser. I have the exact one lying at home. I once watched the movie to compare the tie with what Joker wears. While it is definitely the exact tie it looks different due to filters and dying. Also the tie has some kind of reflection that slightly changes the color depending on the angle and the light, so it even looks differently in hand if you move it around. Beautiful but in no way replicable with just printing on fabric.
I once tried to print the pattern on a silk/cotton 50/50 and silk 100%. Even wanted to do a small run for it but figured people wouldn’t be interested. While the silk 100 was not really satisfying as the tie simply had no shape, the 50/50 came out pretty good as it had a nice shine. Nevertheless the print still wasn’t able to mimic the different reflections of the original piece.
What’s weird: in no way there is any brown in the tie. I don’t get why noone gets this right.

Got the Turnbull & Asser tie as well, and yes, it's hard to take pic because some fabric in it changes color in different light and angle.
But here it is under a white light in my drawing table:

The brown in the 1/6th scale tie is I assume to replicate the weathering effect.. it's weathered pretty heavy, so I guess some brown tint may appear in small scale.
Here's the actual, weathered screen used tie:

I always thought the InArt's eyes were too close and a bit large/wide. I notice it in hand, too. The eyes are the worst aspect. The rest of the sculpt is really good though. Especially the profile.

For me, the eyes of the Hot Toys in the promo images and most importantly in the display photos feel more "alive" than InArt's.

Can't wait to see the final pieces next to each other for a proper comparison.

This is ledger swapped with his real eyes photoshoped. (Top) Nothing else is changed, it’s quite a significant difference that makes him come alive. Inart already did the makeup and rooted hair great but yeah, many in hand photos from what I’ve seen have the eyes way too close.

This is a more squinted eye that I edited, but mainly the placement of the eyes make a huge difference. Now we will wait if hot toys nails it on their final release.

Yes, somewhere at the RPF you can see the tie from the back. Since the T&A tie originally is white from the back you can see the green dye they used. A crime btw as the tie would have been perfect as it was.
Nevertheless still no brown but gold. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Edit:

That was an easy google find

They probably just soaked the tie in tea for weathering.

I've got swatches of fabric from the original Joker coats.

Was going to compare to Inart Joker when I got it, but changed my mind. Will compare to the HT Joker when it arrives.

Again, there was heavy weathering, so it looks brighter.

400 usd for sculpted hair Joker is not an upgrade.
DX11 was cheaper and gave you lots of stuff, and here they are selling basic figure for the price of the rooted InArt Aragorn.
Good luck. I can already see many knock-offs after the release, an a bootleg haired head being sold.
Based on this thread, it doesn't seem to stop the suckers from buying and praising

He looks great there.

I'd be all over this is I didn't have the InArt... and we wouldn't have the above if I didn't have InArt... so there's the irony.

Not different enough for me to double-dip at the price. Look forward to maybe getting some parts in 2 years though.
