Was supposed to ship in June but got delayed due to updates on the prototype.

Here are some links to IG posts. I know you don’t do social media so idk if you’ll be able to see. And I think the run started end of last year around November at least that's when they first made an IG post about it, so not years to my knowledge though @Nick D would know better since he's on the run.

Was lucky enough to get on this run. Didn't make it into his first batch but will be in his next one I think. Not even something I felt I needed with how happy I am with INARTs Joker but his prototype pictures looked really good.

I was also eyeing ARIS's Joker run around the same time since she did a beautiful job on the outfit as well:

The people on that run should be very happy. One of the best full clothing runs I've ever seen realized.

Yea the moment I saw the completed outfit I inquired about it but was already sold out. Hope they do a second run but maybe they wouldn't want in the event that the people on the first run may not be too happy about that.

I do have some dark green rit dye that I might try on one of my InArt vests to see if I can acheive the color on that custom seeing how I will now have 3 Joker's with the Artisan version on order If I mess up the vest, I can always replace with the DX one later on down the road.

Conversely, I suspect those with the means and the desire to make such a purchase probably don't share your opinion and might even consider such a remark to be made by a "peasant" or a "pov". Just saying.

No, they’re nuts. I stand by that.

Collecting is a compulsion, and you see the sickness primarily with The Joker (Ledger’s version only) and Darth Vader fan communities. People try to achieve perfection and will pay anything for it, but it’s pretty much come at a stalemate. It never ends. All the custom runs look the same now and a company like Hot Toys still puts out a subpar doll that these same people want to snag for whatever justified reason. “Oh, the head is different, I can use it on my 4th one for my Hit Me Joker!”

I’m no more sane. I paid $2,500 for a 1/6 Batwing, but I’m not going to sit here and pretend that’s normal. It’s not. It was a frivolous, irresponsible purchase and I’m just as neurotic as most of the people in here. But I’m trying real hard not to be. We don’t really help each other on these sites, instead we encourage bad behavior with “I’m 1,345 in line” or “I just preordered because the site says it’s almost gone”.

I envy the people that can watch a film or cartoon or television show without wanting a doll or toy representation of it.

The other night, one of my favorite Tarantino films came back to theaters, Inglorious Basterds. I was in love a second time. My first thought was, “why don’t I have Hans Landa and Aldo Raine in my collection!?! I need the toys!”

It’s a sickness.

I do just that, I’m well read on cinema, I enjoy other characters but leave them on screen, this character is different for a multitude of reasons. I’m not logged in looking at the latest releases, collecting points daily like the majority. Did Anakin release today? No clue how that went, slept through it. Again, that doesn’t make me any better than the next guy, just different tastes, mind yours.

Anyone believe this note about "hand stitched 4-hole buttons" on the vest? And I haven't looked at this in years, but they are still apparently claiming the sculpts are hand-painted. They were called out for that way back with DX-01. But. . .maybe they have changed their evil ways.

Product photos are always distorting, especially the official ones. Dig up some 4k convention footage, he looks great.

I have to admit, I watched a Youtube video of the one they had on display somewhere, and it does look better, at least in the sculpt department. Looking back at the Sideshow listing, every shot has the sculpt tilted down, usually with the eyes pointed up, and that contributes to the scene-specific vibe it gives off. Factoring that in, it is till too angry for my taste, though.

A second sculpt of some kind with a more character appropriate expression would have been nice.

Well, I agree with one of your points:

If you knowingly make a purchase that you can't afford, or you think it's frivolous or irresponsible, or you know you're going to regret it later, then yeah, you do indeed have a sickness. My point was that someone else can make that purchase without any regrets and enjoy it for what it is, so it really isn't appropriate to encumber them with a label of "crazy".

Again, you buy what you like and everyone is different.

Especially with hot toys, for a couple years now any new figure's official photos means nothing to me, I need to see some good convention or behind the scenes photos to make up my mind, they really overedit their official photos to death every time now.

Those Joker bills have always been one sided since the first MMS figure if I remember correctly. But, it is a shame that they still haven’t printed on both sides and will be even worse if it stays that way through production. Even cheapo 3rd party bills on eBay are printed on both sides even if they may or may not be evenly cut
