Yeah, or when you cant find something and ask someone else whether they've seen and that makes you remember.

As for the rope bit: he was not afraid to die but I guess he was afraid that he wouldnt be able to save people of Gotham. Besides not being afraid of death and purposefully decreasing your chance of survival are different things

This is turning into a movie thread :lol

I suppose it is, lol. The saving grace is that few people read all the posts on here. The amount of times i have read something only for it to be reposted a few posts later by someone as though it's breaking news.
So perhaps no-one is reading this...

I get you, people posting all the same complaints and pictures etc.
Well since this is only a relaunch + there are so many new TDKR figures revealed people aren't really bothered with this.

Hell we could start a conversation here about ponies and no one will notice :lol

Also, when people have genuine news, they can chime in and our comments will be swept far into the past. This thread is on page 9 already. It won't take long to get to the next page and most people on look at the pictures anyway.

Definitely, but i doubt there will be any major discussions on this thread any more, not until people will get their batpods and will start posting pictures of them here

Yes. Decisions, decisions.
I doubt i will get the thing.
I might get a tumbler.
But even ModelZone's "sale" of them at £400 each seems steep...

Way too expensive, Im getting the pod instead, always preferred it to the tumbler.

You could skip out on the tumbler and use the money to try and get the Bat, itd be worth it

Plastic.
I am a model kit pattern maker. The Bat is really simple when you have enough reference.
I *WAS* going to make one in 1/20(It's my usual scale of choice), but since i came across Hot Toys, i plan on patterning one in 1/6.

In your opinion, is Hot Toys Badpod worth the retail price?

I think an item that large containing so much detail and which is quite literally a perfect scale representation of the full size prop is "definitely" worth the retail price(The US retail price).
It's not worth the UK retail price though...

:exactly::goodpost:

UK retail price is way too high

Whats the UK retail price?

£280/$440
A bit too steep...

I PO mine for £225/$355

^ Not too bad a deal for UK

Where exactly do you purchase them abroad? Ebay?

I would order figures from SS but the duty tax makes the total price even more expensive than the UK price. So far I found Ebay to be the cheapest option, but only by £20-30.

$440? Really? You can get the tumbler for that price!

Guess again. Tumbler "retail" is $747 in the UK...

.

Just find someone you trust and deal with them.

Wow, can't you guys buy it through a US retailer and pay the higher shipping cost/and whatever fees if it's cheaper?

Import tax adds a *lot* onto the cost.

Anyways beats $1k

shipping is not the problem, it would only cost around $30. The problem is that we have to pay a tax for goods being shipped from outside the EU. That tax depends on the value of the item and official websites like SS and BBTS put down the actual value (unlike Ebay sellers from HK) which means we have to pay additional $80 (thats for an average 1/6 figure).

This makes it just as expensive as buying one in UK
