wait, what exactly (and how) did you do with his neck/shoulders? that mod really gave him a much better look!

I think P. that vodoun has just stuffed the shoulders with thick pieces of foam as he states and then just futz it and moulded it into the shape he wants.

Those mods do improve him I feel, well done. :clap

that turned out super cool, now that ugly body is fixed and looks right like it should.

vodoun, what material have you used? it's not easy to give the body a correct shape with just anything occasional.
or may be you could reshape 4 bodies for me? :D

You nailed it, V. :clap

Been going over more padding. I still cannot get over how much it took. Pecks came out the best with the shirt so you'd get nicer folds.

Undone the stitching for the lapels then restitched them to their new position referencing some of the scenes. Giving them a slight softer crinkle look. Inserted a black cable tie into the collar corner to corner so it doesn't fall down. Pinch the neck so it is snug. It's great material how a tiny snip and you wouldn't know the entrance for the cable tie was there.

Installed two harder thicker pieces of foam so the shoulders would sit sharper.

Another longer black cable tie installed to the bottom of the jacket corner to corner so it doesn't spring out.

Then it drove me nuts. Something still doesn't quite look as the daunting T1 jacket then thought… This still looks a bit like the T2 jacket. All the dominant silver showing. Break out the markers then rub the buttons a little so the light can pick up just a hint of shine. Sometimes if it catches it you can see a bit of silver. Any other time it's black.

It's now nice seeing the distinctive all black and dull tan look. With the only distinctive silver under dark lighting from the boots.

I used some flat plastic polystyrene? The stuff that feels like spongy plastic to support the thick buffed up parts. Then packed the rest with regular foam cut into cubes and shifted it around with flat long needle like tweezers.

It's just a matter of taking time with it.

Got it closer. About as far as it'll go. It also helped bring up the waist of the jacket. Plus helped to angle the neck forward.

thanks for the material advice, and what about the method? i mean - did you take the chest rubber part off, fill it and then put back?

Congratulations vodoun, that sure doesn't look like the girlyman HT gave us anymore. Neck looks better than I have seen and actually seems to widen as you go down like on a real human being. :clap

I'm firmly in the P. camp, gvie us exhaustive amounts of info, I want to do this to my figures too.

I've never been a fan of the proportions of this figure (which can be fixed) and the clean HS (which really can't be fixed) but I've now got a Terminator jones thanks to Genissysss.

Is this still available at Sideshow or has it sold out? I believe it's still in stock, according to the Web site, but it's been out for several months and perhaps the site is inaccurate.

It is in stock.

Lower the shoulders and gently keep stuffing. I did have to use a thin knife first as the upper is stuck on clamping down the chest with a strange bump.

The neck is best done last and with a piece of cardboard to keep the sides straight.

Tempted to get a second figure with the 10% offer but still wish it was a bit less. Under $200 is where I'd like to be for a second figure.

I bought two at full price thinking a T1 PS Arnie would sell out quick. :monkey2

Not that I regret the purchase, but seems like these older licenses have kinda run out of steam.

A guy on eBay a while ago had one minus a head and hands for like $175. I was going to jump on it but didn't, sort of regret that. I don't necessarily need a full second figure just one to use the more battle damaged head with and stuff.

Yep, that would've been perfect as a second figure since the duplicate accesories would only sit in the box, anyway. Generally I don't like the idea of multiple iterations of the same figure/character on display, but both Terminator and RoboCop seem well suited for that treatment.

More than that I think it's just HT's production numbers are way too high across the board. But collectors are more interested in the newest, shiniest bauble of course. So, Iron Man and Captain America will sell faster than Marty McFly, Robocop, and the T-800. But we also saw Man of Steel Superman go on clearance.
