thats a great likeness to brando...but its been shown many pages back that comparison pics of the HT wolvey to hugh jackman in origins does not look as good as what brando/arnie look like compared to their figures! yes it looks like wolverine but not jackman which is ok for some but id prefer a movie accurate HS in terms of his facial features.the angry face expression,long sideburns etc are fine though.

Still no official pics. Hot Toys are still tweaking it. Why? Because it isn't right yet. They can see that, but you can't. You're happy with the latest pics? That's fine too. I'll be happy when they get it closer.
To me, YES Im happy with it... YES, I see Jackman in that sculpt.. and maybe it has an expression that overpowers the actual look of Hugh with the attitude of Wolverine the character... thus (imo) no need for change. Now, you may be proven correct once official word hits as regards the tweaking. But like I said the current sculpt makes me feel as though Jackman should have looked like THAT to play the part because its perfect for Wolverine.

I totally agree. It's just not Hugh. It's Wolverine for sure, but not Hugh, which in this case, it should be.
I'm sure HT is tweaking it or we'd see more of it by now. I wish they redo the body as well. He won't look good in his wife beater with that body.
I don't get the need to have other people see the same way you do, I backup my stances and share why I feel like I do when it get's questioned, but I don't care what anyone else sees or thinks, as long as I'm happy with what I'm getting.
Which is why I hate how trigger happy people are these days about emailing pictures and words to Hot Toys telling them what they need to do to fix things, often it comes down to subjective points of view and not necessarily cold hard fact. I don't want to ever find a scenario where I was happy enough with a piece, even if it had room for improvement, but the final item was ruined for me because someone spoke up that wanted it something else and got heard.

I am fine with folks who want to nitpick. The rising cost of this hobby people should expect quality and I think it helps keeps quality in check. I am glad "those" people exist. I do not recall any nitpicking that ruined a figure I purchased. I wouldn't waste my time doing what they do and often their rants go one for days and they monopolize the thread but if it improves a figure have at it.
In the end, I will judge my purchase on the hi-res, early release pics (in HK). I like it, I buy it. i don't like it, I don't buy it.
Wolverine is a buy in my book even tho I agree the sculpt isn't 100% accurate. It is dang close enough to make me a happy owner come fourth quarter.

I'm fine with people wanting to point out innaccurracies, BUT, some of these things that get Photoshopped and commented on are not unquestionably fact but influence by personal opinion.
For example, one of the PSed images of DX Batman converted the kevlar elements of his suit to an almost gold tone. No photo I've ever seen or the movie itself ever looked like they were that color, but someone felt they were and they created an "improved" image representing that. Now if that photo was sent to Hot Toys and Hot Toys listened, I'd be pissed because I feel it'd ruin the figure compared to how it is right now from HT without mods.
That's what worries me about some of this fixing people are getting involved with. I'm all for sending photos of the actual things with comments more than the PS jobs on the figure images. Pointing out source materials leaves it up to HT how to interpret it, doing your personal take in Photoshop and doing what you feel is right isn't necessarily right and shouldn't be submitted on the chance it's heard.
When HT's Two-Face debuted, I PSed a photo just to see for fun how the figure might look with an accurrate burn side, but I had actual scans of Two-Face from the movie passed onto HT for them to use or not use, to my interpretive PS image.

I have never and will never let anyone's comments affect my purchases. Do you really think that HT would change there designs based on photos that show up on this thread? I would hope they are a lot more informed then that.
Some people actually email them to Hot Toys, not just posting here. Random stuff posted at this site, sure it's all good fun, but insistent emails sent with the images direct to HT suggesting they're corrections needed, that's something else. With Hot Toys being so open to fan suggestions for improvement, I do fear that one day, someone will submit something they shouldn't and it'll be heard and acted upon and we'll suffer for it.
