I don't understand the nitpicks with the face. Every recent pic I've seen has been a HUGE improvement over the initial preview image, which was frankly pretty off.

People love to complain in this day and age. Although i bet this is nothing, when the figure does come out and looks kick ass, there will be something totally new to complain about and there will be pages upon pages of it. Sad thing is it'll be something like the collar of his jacket is too low/high, or his mustache didn't look like that in the film and really detracts from the figure.

Complaints are good and all, but some of them i really gotta laugh at.

New pic looks the same to me, which is good. (not 100% yet but good enough)

It's not a nit pick and it's not a complaint. The face isn't Hugh Jackman. If I'm paying for a licensed figure, and for it to look like the actor, I want it to look like the actor. If it doesn't look like the actor it ought to be cheaper. I want this figure, and I'll probably still get it if it doesn't look like Hugh, because it still a good Wolverine, and because there isn't likely to be another. Hot Toys just needs to do the job properly. That's all people want. What they are paying for, deserve, and what we all know Hot Toys can and should produce.

As far as I can tell the first pic is the same as the recent ones. It hasn't really changed. It's just that the later ones have been from other angles, rather than directly face on. Why hasn't Hot Toys given us the official pics? It's should be because they are getting it right, otherwise they may as well put up the pics we've already seen, with the disclaimer that it could change from proto to production.

Is this and Medicom's X3 Wolverine the only high-end collectible representation of Hugh Jackman as Wolvie? No other product out there?

Basically. Toy Biz made a special 12 inch one, but very crude, I got it for the costume to be able to swap clothes on this origins figure to have the trilogy look, before I knew HT was going to do the trilogy. Clothes are OK on a TT body, but still very toyish in construction, large patterns and all. If HT does one, it'll be much better.

I only ask because I was curious if there was any other, better attempts at capturing Hugh's likeness, because I think the HT head is pretty damn good. The Medicom head is great, and the likeness is there (but not 100% imo), but requires a complete overhaul in paint application before you actually see it.

"- Life-like head sculpt with authentic likeness of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine"

Close, but no cigar. :lol

Who cares! It's about what? 90-95% there? And i bet it is still being tweaked.

(I remember the Rocky protos as well, trust in HT fellas)

Who cares? Not you, so why bring it up? Still no cigar, even if they do get the likeness down. :lol

Yeah you're right! If i was you i'd move on and not even bother with this POS figure.
