come on guys you cant just roll up and say about 5 months, thats almost half a year! why would there be a pre oder for something thats not out for half a year!

You mean like Sideshow does with the majority of their products? :D Think of all the cool stuff we saw at SDCC 6 months ago that still isn't out...

dalekidea: I brought this up before and apparently it's normal i.e. standard practice for EBay sellers. Me personally, I still think it's shady/risky unless you trust the seller 100%. Anyways, the Seller has to put up the "30 Days" etc. in order to list an item on EBay. Even if the product won't be out for months. The catch: After 45 days you can't complain to Paypal (because they only accept PayPal). So if the seller screws you.. nothing you can do about it at that point.

I've heard they're reputable, but I wouldn't preorder a product that far in advance from eBay no matter who it's from.

1) You're pretty much screwed if you pay in advance and the company folds between now and when the product comes out. You also have no recourse unless you paid via your credit card and they back you up (again, 6 months or whatever down the road)

2) Refunds if you change your mind and no longer want the product? good luck - depends on the seller's willingness. Not speaking for anyone else, but happens to me all the time.

3) There will be TONS of sellers who have this product for sale before, during, and after release. No need to order it and prepay immediately with the "gotta have it NOW!" mentality when you can't get it now.

4) If you hold off and order through Sideshow, you can also support this message board we all love :)

That said...not dissing anyone who chooses to preorder this far in advance through eBay, it's just really not for me. There's no danger of not being able to find it at release or through Sideshow.

I order through Joe, that's still supporting Sideshow Freaks. Technically. I think. 8-\

Not in the way folks are talking about. There's actually financial support benefits when you order through affiliate links, you get supported for basically marketing Sideshow's product for them.

If Sideshow got their Hot Toys as fast as Toys2, I'd order from them without question.

But I'm impatient as hell, lmao. Still, I've gotten into The Dead, and have the P2 Ex. Dio on preorder... so I love SSC, but I just don't use them for my HT.

I use them for HT unless I'm super impatient or they don't carry it, impatient stuff and hard to find goes through Toys2, like The Dark Knight line.

I agree with cryoguns on all points, but I must state that studiosunny is a GREAT seller.

I personally buy in hand from eBay.

thats the thing though, im in the uk, i would never buy from america or us what ever because of the hugh interest fees that you nearly always have to pay, and to make it worse i can only pay by check because the damn pay pal will not pay out more than £100 for some reason

At end of the day i'd gladly order through SS but 'IF' they were competitive price wise and got there products in and delivered out to us non U.S freaks within a reasonable time...
Frankly i DO hit the 'Buy it now' button on Ebay sometimes months in advance of release. Yeah its a risk, but so is crossing a road....touch wood, my regular source has never let me down and in locking down the purchase early, i'm saving $$$$'s in the process...
I also use Toys2 another awesome non ebay dealer. SS I use for exclusives ONLY now

BTW good luck to the lad getting his P1 shortly...:monkey1
