HT Iron man 2 figures

i didnt see a thread on this yet and didnt notice anyone talking about it. Not really a huge suprise but still cool to know its coming

My wonder though how they'll be done. Most of the time licensees work off of conceptuals I hope they got the final armor down since the most recent EW has a circular Arc Reactor cavity yet the Hasbro IM 1:6 has a triangular one.

I hope they don't work on it too early. Like before the release of the movie. It usually leads to inaccurate sculpts or something. But yea. That's so far my most anticipated must see movie of 2010.

War Machine is a lock, along with the Mark IV. What I'm interested in seeing is the final Whiplash look and whether or not HT will include a Black Widow. Also Tony seems to have the reddish brown feathered hair in this, I hope the figure's Stark sculpt follows suit.

I think she is more likely than Whiplash to be honest, she has rooted hair, and they already did a Scarlett figure for The Spirit. Probably only need to tweak the sculpt.

Both are just as likely because Whiplash is the major villain and HT will want to make sure to get it to fans especially with the inability of doing Iron Monger for the first one.

I can see HT doing a full line on IM 2 similar to what they did on the first one. I would think IM has got to be one of the best selling of their MM lines, so we would liklely see a full range of armour and variations

My guess for figures

Mark IV Armour (do this with a helmet option like MK II)

War Machine

Black Widow (maybe a clothing change like the CK/Superman SR figure)

Whiplash (probably at least 2 versions, since the costume/armour evolves throughout the film)

Nicky Fury

Costume sets (like the jericho suit from the first one) for Stark in his racing suit and Rhodes in his uniform

Finally- if they go all out- Pepper Pots

Probably looking at over $1,100 for seven figures + Costumes (figures at $150 each (7x)) and $50 for each costume).


For me there goes my budget for the year, the IM 2 line plus the other HT Stuff next year- DX Joker and Batman, plus whatever figures they do for Watchmen besides SS and Comedian

Looking at all the news releases we should/could get:

Iron Man Mark 4 maybe Mark 5 (According to reports Stark modifys the suit in the film)
War Machine
Whiplash Final Battle Version
Iron Drones (Iron Man Mark 3 suits without full heads that Stark uses for security Beige/Silver scheme)
Black Widow

We could also get:
Tony Stark Racing uniform
James Rhodes in military dress
Whiplash version one (This is the monaco scene that people have been posting, not to mention that Favreau recently said this is like Tony's progression in the first film so that screams HT treatment)
Natasha Romanoff
Nick Fury

Longshots:
Justin Hammer
Tony Stark in Civilian or Business clothes
Pepper Potts
Donald Blake (rumors are that he makes a cameo)

I don't think we'll get a racing suit in the same way as "The Man Suit" because the Jericho suit could be done universally while the racing suit is specifically done for Iron Man 2 and therefore they'd be limited to selling only to that license so why not make a Stark figure. Not to mention that they can do the bloody head.
