Naw, this is just for fun really. I might leave him like that for a little while, but if I leave him that way too long the things I had to heat and reposition will set and be hard to get back to their original shape. When I'm all done playin' with him I'll put him back in a standing pose again.

I took a few more pics of my P2 Predator and used a hair dryer on his belt and thigh armour pieces this time, which allowed his thighs to be raised more. His legs can't bend much more than this at the knees due to limited articulation, and his leg armour gets in the way, but I think it's pretty darn close to the crouching poses he had in the movie. Here's what I got so far. All that's missing are the special effects...

mudshark! that is plain wicked man! i tried to get him into that pose for display but never could..( the hairdryer idea never came up
) gonna try that tonight! i wanted to display him in that pose in a detolf case and get one of those display lights and colour the lens dark blue, to get the same lighting as that scene in the movie. man the only thing he needs is one of hurricane's amazing working lasers.does anyone have any ideas on how to get a source of light behind the bios eyes when the mask is on? for the light up eye effect?
the lens glow in a yellowish orange colour when theres light behind it
P.S. I just noticed you removed his left thigh armor piece. was there no way to get him into that pose with the thigh armor on?

The head/neck articulation is good, definitely better than the AVPs'. But it's still not extremely poseable.
Thanks. Going by this picture, it looks to have HT's older styled neck joint, and given the means of attaching it and all, seems like it would be limiting in articulation. I hope the P1 features their newest neck joint, I think it would get as much articulation on a Predator as any other figure.

P2 is a nice figure to pose, no doubt about it but trying some fancy poses is rather risky. Once you've found the pose you were looking for, the less you touch it, the better.
That's why I can't wait to get Wolf. Since he doesn't have any net on his legs, he'll be extremely fun to pose.

Well, I like to do lots of photos and things, so I guess I'll be a good test of how much the figure can and can't take.

Even if the P1 Predator has the newest neck joint, I don't know how much more range of motion you would have between the dreadlocks and the neck tubing that would still help to restrict the movement.

Thanks, bro! It's not that hard to do if you take it one step at a time using the hair dryer. Btw, the thigh armor piece popped off 'cause I didn't heat it up first, and I was just too lazy to glue it back on. There's no problem posing him like that with all his armor in place. I'm going to put him all back together and try a couple of different poses tomorrow. Gotta get some sleep!
I'll bet Hurricane could put a light source behind the eyes inside the mask... probably wire it all together with the laser, too. If anyone could do it, he'd be the one to ask!

The neck joint's the same as the AvPs had, just like Dark_Spidey said, but I did some surgery on it before I put him together. It wasn't hard, basically just filed some plastic away from the bottom of the neck section in front and back. It gives the head a much better range of motion, and it doesn't even show with the neck collar piece on. I highly recommend it for all of the Preds they've released so far. That would be great if Wolf has a new improved neck joint, but if not it shouldn't be a problem.

Damn, that is sweet!!! If you can whip that out in just a few minutes, I can just imagine what you could do in a day or two! Absolutely amazing, Sean!
In the movie he kinda fades in and out of visibility as the field sputters. And the energy bolts are zapping all around him... one of the coolest effects in the whole movie, aided by that wicked blue lighting!
Another great scene was when he's up on the rooftop after ripping poor ol' Jerry's skull and spinal column out of his body, and the lightning bolt hits the combi-stick... it would be fun to try and capture that pose too.
I already have full intention of both capturing the pose and reproducing the lightning.
I have to say, I find the bizarre future (haha, it's 1997) of P2 makes the first 2/3 of the film ok, but not as enjoyable as P1, but basically from the attack on the subway on, I think it's an awesome movie, great action, battles, lighting, and cinematography throughout the closing act of the movie.

Oh wow thats awesome guys!
I figured that pose would be one of the first ones you'd want to do, it's one of the most memorable in the whole film. And the movie definitely does rock hard after the subway attack. All my favorite scenes are in the latter half of the movie. I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned with your BD Predator after this... hope you'll post some of your pics here.

Holy ****!!! That looks freakin' gorgeous! With a couple of puddles and a rain screen effect it would look just like a scene out of the movie. You guys totally amaze me!
P.S. I hope this makes believers out of anyone who still doubts the posing capabilities and artistic possibilities of this outstanding figure!
