Looks like chilipep66 got a drooper too...

Now that I look closer to mine. I believe mine has a slight droop to it also. Denny is full of ****. There is no droop to Blondie's real pistol. :lol

Throw it under the blow dryer for 10-15 seconds and straighten out that droop. There's no need for a replacement.

Mine was the same way and now it's as straight as an arrow. :lecture

after looking at all these photos I totally take back what I said in my last post lol. iminimes wins in terms of accuracy but I still feel its a bit big, and the blowdry straighten trick is essential as well

The Navy Colt is a good size pistol, so the size may be accurate although it does look large in our set. There is no droop to the barrel, the one photo where it appears to be slightly lower is most likely because the barrel wasn't locked into place.

Just did the hair dryer and it worked like a charm.:) Thanks.

Im so thankful i managed to hang onto my rainman pistol as well. so much better in terms of size, I will repaint it though cause iminime has it beat in thre accuracy department

the rainman gun is based off a few dollars more, he uses different ones in each movie I think

Yup. One on the left is a colt peacemaker which would have been anachronistic in the civil war era GBU movie which instead uses a Navy Colt 1857

Regarding the droop in the gun. Mine too came that way. Seems to be a plastic molding issue. Do as Shortround suggests. Hitting it with blowdried heat and straighten out then hold it in place as it cools it will retain the new straighter shape.

I just received the DX sculpt, and I'm at a loss for words. No supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, no incrediblazing, no nothing, because this thing is just too incredible for words, and not just the head, either. Seeing the full figure with both sculpts, and the way it turned out, and how Trevor and Denny and Denny's team knocked every single detail out of the park, I'm entirely convinced that this figure will never be topped, and I don't say that lightly.

All in all, though, this is a grail for me, and I can't stress enough how much I appreciate all of the help that Marf and Axe provided in acquiring the DX over these past few months. You guys rock. :duff

This post should remain in forum's annals :)

Hi,

New guy here, but I bought my first action figure, which was a Army GI Joe in 1964. I created my sideshow id to be able to access the custom forums.

I have a Rainman Blondie, and was able to find a Iminime Cowboy head. Trevor Grove did a perfect job on his head sculpt. What kind of neck post do I need to use to mount the Iminime head onto the TrueType slim body? I am going to change out the Rainman vest, which comes with a metal clasp. I thought the Rainman figure, which is my first custom, was very good, but the Iminime is simply amazing.

Thanks for sharing the great pictures, which just made me want this head sculpt more.

Any standard Hot Toys neck plug will work. Just do a quick ebay search for them. And welcome to the board! and also congrats on getting the Trevor sculpt, its a massive improvement on RM's.
