Yeah, just look for the audiences totem. Thats when you'll know or not.

Finally got to seeing this (on Blu). Absolutely loved it, and best movie I have seen since the Dark Knight. Nolan is my favorite director right now (even over Peter Jackson).

I wish I saw this in the theaters when it was out. Kept saying to myself "Next week" and then it wasn't playing anymore.

Going to watch it again very soon. I didn't read through this thread as I never wanted to read the spoilers. I'm not sure of my interpretation of the ending yet (although I did say to myself watching the ending "This is a dream") . Which is why I need a second viewing sooner rather than later. I love when movies leave you thinking about it later on and asking questions, all signs of a great film.

Apparently the audience is supposed to be able to tell if Cobb is dreaming when he is wearing his wedding ring.

With the exception when he visits Mal.

Thats what I was told, but I may have it reversed.

You are correct. Whenever he is dreaming you will notice his wedding ring on.

Ah yes. You have it straight. And he is not wearing the ring at the end.

I agree. My favorite directors are Noland, Jackson, and Tim Burton. But I think Noland is #1 for me. :exactly:

Watch it again. If you still think it's a dream at the end let me know and I'll repost all my arguments to the contrary again. ;)

Question:
If the Van flipping/falling in the Street level caused the anti-gravity in the Hotel level of the dream, why didn't that weightlessness trickle down into the Snow level?

Because the further down you go the less effects you feel. They hinted to this by Cobb saying something about Saito being in less pain after getting shot the further they go down.

Maglor...you mentioned Tim Burton, which caused me to end up in a fit of rage.

It's like watching your best friend become a methhead. :(

:lol

I figured I'd get a response like that from someone! :slap

I don't get the hate for Burton. Some of my favorite movies are Directed by him.

Edward Scissorhands
Batman
Batman Returns
Big Fish
Sweeney Todd

All classics. All awesome.

I like all of those movies also, minus sweeney todd if its not on dvd. I really could care less for musicals and all that kid and "JOOANNNNNA" bullcrap is pretty straight up gay.

Johana is the worst song. But the other one's are awesome IMO. Epiphany is amazing.

Those are some of my favorite flicks too. But Tim Burton just sucks now. Frustrating.

He just sucks when he does big hollywood things or remakes. He still doesn't suck...he just has to choose better projects.

Actually Burton was gold until Planet of the Apes then it was hit or miss with him.

Maglor no mention of Pee Wee, Beetleguise, or Ed Wood? For Shame.......:lol

Love those 3. Great great stuff. Pee Wee is one of my favorites. Ed Wood is his best film. Hands down,
