I'd say LFL's probably a big factor in where this line goes. The Star Wars line had the benefit of, what appeared, to be a big launching point for Sideshow, compared to the years before, it seems like around the time the Star Wars 1/6 license started off, things really boomed for them, so getting it off the ground against the LFL big wigs was doable.
Now you've got Indy, with Star Wars product and Indy product going out for approval. It's got to slow things down considerably to go through that.
Not that GI Joe doesn't, but being that the designs are basically SSC concepts based on sources, the approval's more ok your design isn't unfaithful to the character or whatever, rather than getting specific details correctly matched to a source like Indy and Star Wars.
Couple that with the other companie's who've jaded Indy collector's and you've got a mix that makes getting an Indy line really going an uphill battle.
I'm not sure the line's dying, but surely it's a fight to get it up to a Star Wars line pace.
