Bredan, cheers. I hope it shows. After coming close to dying I hate wasting time. I'm doing something nearly all the time. Painting for me, feels like down time yet still productive. Or writing just words or songs. Then there's the women. I love spending time with women. Guys just talk about booze, sports & chicks. Women really get into real stuff. And they smell better

More painting tonight, hope to begin highlights tomorrow. The killer wind here makes it hard to clear coat & don't want to spray in the house.

It's stripped the shingles off a lot of places. Got a mouth full of grit when I went out for a Djarum cigarette. Nothing kills a good smoke like being pelted with dirt

Ok, bruital wind again so, after smashing my head into a metal holder for a hanging plant, I'm dosed up on Aleve. I plan on doing all the highlights on the hair on all the hatted versions tonight.

That will just leave teeth & eyes.

Then onto the hatless versions.

Those should be a lot easier. Really hard to get the brush in & behind the hair at the back of the neck. Amazing casting.

So, hope to get the hatted versions done in a few days, then get them posted.

THEN, begin the hatless ones.

Can't wait to see how folks put them together

Got some work done on the hair tonight, only on one though. Now it's really comin together. Blocked it in, highlighted it, then used some chalk pastels to tone down the highlights.

Will clear coat when it quits raining and/or blasting wind. Then add more highlights, then further blending.

Anyone else notice his ginger sideburns? Looks kinda odd, but still cool.

I admire your motivation, I wish I could find the same kind of strength within myself to turn my own situation into a positive one.

Brendan, you do have the strength, I know you well enough to say that. Everyone has inner strength. Sometime it just seems hard to tap into it. It's something we all learn to do.

Nearly dying made me appreciate life. And people.

Thanks man, I think I just feel a bit trapped by my situation sometimes so it's nice to know I've got a few cool people such as yourself in my corner :)

Which part of the Tom heads has been the most tricky to do so far?

That's lessons well learned from life, Joey. I'd also like to offer some advice to Brendan. I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "NO TIME TO HATE" and it really made me mad.

No time to hate? No time? Dammit, if you care about something enough, you FIND the time!!!!

Slow women drivers. Kids with pants worn down around their ass. George Lucas. Rock bands who write country songs but get them played on rock stations. If I wanted to listen to country I would be!

Harness that negative energy and exact it upon the world. Go to karaoke bars even though you can't sing just to torture the patrons.

Write glowing online reviews for the worst movies ever in the hopes of tricking someone into seeing them, and most importantly my friend, live the best life possible to give the finger to everyone else you pass by in life. That is the best revenge.

That and cancelling your enemies credit cards before their big date. :naughty

Oh man, Brendan, the hair at the back of the neck was killing me. The casting is just amazing, but super hard to get in there with a brush & the hand tremors.

Doing more dry brushing tonight.

Never feel trapped. Life is full of beautiful possibilities. Sometimes we just don't see them. We just have to choose to see them.

I really love people (most) & appreciate good friends such as yourself. Proves to me there a re a lot more great folks than not. We just remember the bad ones more.

Update
Good news:
-highlights done on all hatted ones, teeth done, just hat band & eyes left. Also blend the hair to soften the look of dry brushing. It tends to look to rough so I chalk pastel other tones in to make it smoother.
Bad news:
-I cocked up hard on mine. I have a splotch on his R side by the jaw line. It's of Gorbachev proportions. I'm gonna try to blend it back with the airbrush. What a plonker.

At least it's mine that's suffered an oops & not someone elses. Lesson to learn form every error. Note to self: "watch what the hell you're doing!" See, there is always something good in everything.

Now back to D-Bag people. I agree with WTS, however, I want my karma clear. Life has a way of sorting them out. Best thing is pay them no mind. Don't waste valuable time thinking about jerks. They don't deserve the attention.

I'm gonna go & mope now.

ok, I'm not.

I couldn't be more amped up. Goin out with an amazing woman. Doesn't treat me like an ATM. AND is interested in painting.

Bonus

Now if I can get her to take a few glamour shots holding some 1/6

Raining & ugly, looks like I can't clear coat tonight. If it stops I will, don't want to do it indoors, the stuff stinks to much, & don't wanna kill the remaining brain cells.

Had another look at the splotch, upsets me the more I look at it.

Update
Can't get any clear coat done tonight, it's crazy windy again. Damn Sask weather. That's what I get for living in the prairie.

May try to get on some other paint work, maybe crank up the airbrush.

Sounds like you've had quite a battle during this project and I think everyone will appreciate the heads that bit more knowing you've persisted despite the problem with your hands.

Thanks also for the encouragement, you too Rick, it means a LOT to know I've got some good friends out there :)

Brendan, I love a challenge. Nothing has ever come to me easily. Always had to struggle for everything. I think it's helped foster a more positive outlook.

The tremors are just an inconvenience. At least I'm alive.

Good news though. The wind died down. Got more clear coat done, AND as an added feature. Because I have to patch up my ____ up, I'm gonna start on basing out the hatless Who's. I mean hey, it I gotta break out the airbrush, make it worth while.

See, there is always something good in all not so good situations.

Perspective is everything.

Oh, you are gonna love this.

While trying to fix the mistake on my sculpt, the airbrush decided to suddenly splatter big time. So, looks like I have to start mine all over.

Good news though, the others are just fine & hope to get them done very very soon.

Then onto the hatless ones.
