Nick, do you have a straight-on shot of the Neil Tom head? I always thought the face was great but the hair was off, but then never saw it painted till now.

Ah, you've seen through my 'taking photos at an angle' subterfuge ;) Yep, the hair lets that sculpt down a bit; far too tall... tried removing a lot on top and then resculpting it lower... but that didn't really help (should've been a bit more brutal in the hair-cutting stakes). Anyhow, one frontways on shot...

More of both are knocking around over here:

Nick did you ever post a thread about your TARDIS? (I assume you made it yourself... it is really lovely!)

Nice having options. The above head looks dead on to the beginning credits shot of Tom.

Tonight, more painting, hope to get them done.

Date was amazing

Sick yesterday, no painting. Hopefully tonight get the eyes done. Soon, the hatless ones will ship to their new homes.

Thanks Brendan. She's really amazing. Well educated, intelligent & horribly attractive. Elegant & artistic.

Ha, it wouldn't be the first time that happened.

Seriously though, I couldn't make a list of thinks I like in a woman that she doesn't have. She wants to paint 1/6! WTH?

Gotta call her tonight, then hopefully get some painting done. May need a cold shower & think of Rosie O'Donnel (that's a passion killer)

Thanks... but as much as I'd like to claim all credit, my Tardis is an old resin kit (iirc, by Mooncrest Models). It's just a smidgen too small but I'm more than happy with how it turned out.

Nick, it looks like 1/1 scale. Totally love the weathering you did. Masterful!

That's it. I'm making one. Would a blue shoe box with a few holes cut in pass for a Tardis?

:::crosses fingers for luck:::

Hope things work out for you and her! It's wonderful when your beloved encourages you in your interests, and shares them.

pixel, I love your sig. Have to admit, the first thing I thought on seeing it was a very Sevenish quote from The Ten Doctors, "Good things come to those who wait in small packages."

Thanks Katya
I'm just worried she's not for real. I mean, she's either amazing or playing me like a cheap violin. Goin out again tomorrow. She's out of town last night/today. It's not in me to be hurt again.

Update on painting
-eyes done!!!
-hat bands left, possibly tonight (likely in fact)
-clear coat tomorrow, winds to strong & cold, the gloss the eyes & teeth.
-then, ready to ship to their respective new homes.

THEN
Onto round 2 of the heads, both hatted & hatless. Trying to get a system of getting multiples done efficiently & properly. I want to make these as great as they can look.

Update

Just as I was about to gloss the eyes & teeth I noticed I'd like to punch in more depth to the sideburns (OCD again). So, did it. Needs one last blast of clear coat, then gloss then ship these babies out. I would post images but these aren't my heads. I think the owners should be the ones to do the reveal.

If the wind dies down some, I'll do it tonight. Then ship tomorrow.

Clear coat done, gloss later tonight, then off to their respective new homes!

Sad to see them go, Boo Who!
