I remember this when I was a little kid. I remember somw girl got pregent and has a baby by one of the aliens!!!

I recently got the V dvd after waiting a while for its release here in Australia, and while i remember loving it as a kid, it was kinda lame to watch now, still i love Diana, shes damn hot! :D So i would have a bit of interest in V, but for the most part only a Diana figure. Actually i believe Jane Badler (Diana) is currently residing in melbourne Australia and working as a singer?

Yes she is a singer now. Has a couple of CD's out that I know of. And yes, it is cheesy or lame by today's standards, but if you can put yourself back into the frame of mind of when it first came out it is still enjoyable. at least it is for me when I do that. Its definitely timestamped in the 80's but so many characters that would be great as figures or converted into customs:
Donovan - Marc Singer (Beastmaster)
Tyler - Michael Ironside (Seaquest 2032, Total Recall. Starship Troopers)
Julie - Faye Grant
Diana - Jane Badler ("nuff said!)
Willie - Robert Englund
Steven - Andrew Prine
John - Richard Herd
Lydia - June Chadwick
Lt. James - Judson Scott (Star Trek:TWOK)
Kruger - Sybil Danning (again- "nuff said!)
Martin/Phillip - Frank Ashmore (classic Battlestar Galactica)
Nathan Bates - Lane Smith (Lois & Clark: The Adventures of Superman)
Kyle Bates - Jeff Yagher (sci-fi model maker)
Visitor Trooper - Denny Miller (veteran Hollywood tough guy/character actor)
I know I'm biased but there's at least as much variety here as in the average military line.
Besides, V rocks!!

There is only one V and that is For Vendetta.

But I would also pick up a few figures from a V TV series line.

Wow, kind of surprised by this.
Guess there isn't a lot of love for the older "classic" properties. I mean a little over 50% isn't bad if its al a custom thing, but not good enough to approach a real company with. :monkey2

Well, I guess "V" has end up becoming dated. I loved the show as a kid, but it doesn't seem to stand up as a landmark show these days.

There Re-making V? Really?

Oh, it's still a landmark show. Its just that its datedness of being timestamped in the 80's seems to keep the newer generations from enjoying it and understanding those times.

Just curious, those of you that voted "NO", could your mind be swayed to buy when, if produced, the figures were great likenesses with screen accurate uniforms and realistic accessories (not made like a knock-off company's GI Joe gear in the 70's)?

That's true! Licensing issues can take YEARS to work out! I'm a HUGE fan of the original "V" series, and the new "re-imagining/remake"" of it on ABC now. I'd love to see 1:6 scale full figures of the major cast from both shows. But there's got to be enough interest plus the company that would be willing to pay for the licensing rights to make them.

So, unless someone like Sideshow (very doubtful!), or Hot Toys (umm...maybe? :dunno ) buys the rights then they'll never get made. I was very suprised back in the 1980s when I was growing up that LJN got the rights. Too bad they only made that one "V" soldier. I love the customs I'm seeing here of Willy, Ham Tyler, and some of the V soldiers! Very nice work guys! :)
