haha great minds think alike that was my first thought aswell, but I wanted to use the uniform for a willy or donovan in disguise uniform which would be wrong and incorrect.

Donovan would have got sussed straight away and I don't think willy is gunna get promoted to general or admiral, which ever the 3 stripes represent.:)

I'll have to think about it before deciding thanks for the advice.

Another option:

Hmm I like the look but not sure if I could make the gauntlets and upper part but least if I do try and remove/cover up the stripes then the whole outfit is'nt a right off.
Might have to rewatch some episodes don't remember that scene.
Ideally I'd like to go for the original outfit with glasses and cap.

Ok, I know that ABC is redoing/reimagining this classic piece of science fiction. I believe it was the first mini-series to ever spawn a sequel mini-series longer than the original. And as much as some of the new casting does seem intriquing, is there any love in the 1:6 world for figures/heads of the original V cast?
So, would you be interested in full figures? Quality head sculpts? or have no interest at all?

Hmm... interesting this thread petered out. I guess there aren't enough Gen Xers on Sideshow Freaks. I'd pay ANY amount of money for a screen-accurate 1:6 scale Diana from the original mini-series. Next to Darth Vader, she had more influence on me than any other sci-fi villain. Truth is, I've NEVER seen any good custom 1:6 scale work on the original V series characters. Strange, especially with all of the other shiznit I see around.

I'm going to be submitting a few custom tailoring proposals to GeeWhiz pretty soon, and Diana's Final Battle outfit will be top on my list. Laser pistol, belt, holster and shades will also be in the proposal. She would definitely be one of my grail figures.

I look forward to seeing it. Could be interested in the suit.
I have the laser pistol and rifle, helmets, holsters and glasses.

Awesome. Do you mind me asking who did the weapons and accessories for you? (Or perhaps you did them yourself?) I suppose resin would work fine for all of them, although I'd want the blue-blocker type glasses to be translucent and very accurate.

I have a few different sculptors in mind for a bald portrait of Jane Badler (3D rendering alone might not do her justice). She's never really been done to my knowledge, so getting the right likeness of her beautiful, cruel stoicism along with a master hair rooting job will be my goal. I only trust GeeWhiz for the tailoring and other assets. Their portraits are very hit and miss (and I can't afford them to miss). The only asset I might fudge would be to forgo her very '80s high-heel boots for more practical and/or updated boots. But then again, those tiny little fang-like high heels were part of Diana's venomous package ;)

The laser pistols I had recast from the old LJN figure. They were actually very well detailed and probably the best part of that figure. Outfits I've had 3 people say yes to then back out on me so I'm still using the LJN uniforms. For patches I went thru www.onesixthscaleking.com . I get all my patches from him. The laser rife and Visitor helmet I had 3D printed by a guy on the OSW who prints thru Shapeways.
I look forward to your Diana and, if I can afford to, might like to get a copy as she is paramount to the collection. Though choosing between the dress, red uniform or that white unitard might prove difficult. ;)

True, but that old poster of her in the ripped white and holding the rifle...May be pure 80's but it was great! LOL
[BTW, I sent you an email ;) ]
