Everything is always changing........This is a figure that I can't decide whether I like it or hate it:lol

Yeh, I couldn't afford this at the moment unless I loved it, which I'm not sure I do. No doubt it would display really well. I might have some extra cash coming in next month and then I'll find out if I really wanted to pass on it or I'm just telling myself now that I don't care much for it so I don't spend money I don't have.

I really don't think this figure is going to sell out quickly.

This year is all about the new superhero movies coming out and whatever their respective figures are.

If you wanted to pick up a Mk.II after release, I've got a good feeling you should be able to with no problems.

For those of you who have this figure already, are the Mech Test Boots exactly like the Tony Stark Mech Test boots?

It looks the same all the way down to the boot clasps. Can you swap it into the Tony Stark Mech Test figure?

Thanks!

Dennis

im looking into buying into a hot toys iron man figure again, i had the mk3 and mk4 previously, is this a good one to get if i was to have only one?

Wow, that's a tough call.
You've already had the Mk.IV and that is my pick, but maybe you should go for a Mk.VI instead...that is, if you could have only one.

This one may come with a lot of features/details but it's not what I would have as my sole armor on my shelf representing Iron Man.

After all, it doesn't even come with a Stark head sculpt....

...you get Gary Coleman instead.

I'd say, if you're just going to have one… hope they re-do the Mark III. A Mark III based on the new Mark II molds would be the only Iron Man I'd want if I was just limiting myself to one.

:exactly: :good post:

Dunno how anyone can limit themselves to just 1 Iron Man though, I mean I've only got the Mark IV at the moment (had and sold the Mark III and VI previously) but I've got this and the new Mark I on the way and I can't wait for a new Mark VI and VIII (and a new III if one does indeed get made)

Mark iv hands down ! I bought the mark vi and sold it a few weeks later... Really cheap disappointing next to the mark iv.

Well Mk.6 is almost identical to Mk.4 with a slight upper chest change (and coloured differently)... bought 4x of each.. well more of Mk.4 (using Mk4's arms & legs for 1 Mk.6)

This is not a new mold.

Yes it is, well largely is. There's a few re-used parts but large portions of it are totally new including the legs, hips, abdomen, and maybe other bits. It's hard to tell what's re-used, about the only thing I'm fairly sure of are the forearms.

I'm simply saying what I would do, and that is what I would do… but I don't have that insatiable need to own stuff. I'm pretty lackadaisical as a collector. I buy stuff I really like but if I miss out on something or some product I want gets cancelled I don't sweat it. There's always more ____ I can spend my money on.

I also give away things I don't want anymore rather than selling them.

Well the chest plate and legs of the mark vi just didn't seem as well done as the mark iv, probably due to the switchable nature of the pieces. I just didn't like it at all.

The chest on the Mark IV is switchable as well… or at least you can take it off.

Just received another email from SS just confirming they will be charging on the 5th, hopefully that means I'll have the figure this time next week :yess:
