I would guess a full, official trailer sometime around Thanksgiving/Christmas or during the Superbowl.

I just found this! Sorry if it's already been posted.

I know Tony's ever looking to improve things, but it baffles me that there could really be justification for 3 more Marks in IM2.

Yea. Make him start the movie in the Mark 4 (circle arc-reactor), then have him transition to the mark 5 (which would have the triangle chest piece, like the toy above). 2 new suits of armor would be expected and reasonable for screen time purposes, but 3 is just overkill, esp. with war machine making an apperance.

Let's assume the goal is eventually Extremis armor.

How many suits and movies should it take to get there?

In my opinion, I would introduce it as one of the main plot points in part 3, possibly to help him deal with something like his progressive bad health due to the chest injury. Have him start the movie in the Mark V that would be carried over from part 2 (the triangle arc-reactor), maybe have a scene with the black stealth armor when some recon is needed because its so iconic and call it the Mark VI (not much screen time, maybe 5-8 minutes, purely a fan service) and finally have him finish the trilogy by wearing the extremis as the Mark VII for the last hour or 40 min of Part 3.

Id be more happy to see it as blue, like in the comics :D

Favreau mentioned back in Iron Man 1 that his original idea was to show off the Stark Warehouse with a ton of suits, even if they saw no other screen time then just display. Its possibility that the Mark 6 is just another line heading there. Its possible that the Mark 6 is War Machine and the article got it wrong in naming them twice, original if you read Saunder's interview War Machine was pitched as the Mark 4. Its a possibility that the talk of the Iron Drones that are at the Stark Expo might be experimental next step versions that Tony is working on and showing off. There is still a lot we don't know and jumping to the assumption that there are three Marks in this one film all worn by Tony is still a little early. We know there is two from SDCC and we knew there would be two especially explaining how the Mark 4 goes to the Mark 5 which means we might get a BD Mark 4 as well...

She is credited as "Melina Vostokoff / Iron Maiden", I'm betting that she is a spokesmodel at StarkExpo but you never know.
